How complicated a Strider is doesn’t make it any more powerful. A Scarab could burn it apart with a single shot from its cannon, seeing as Striders can be killed by rockets.
But the striders, as the gunships, has singularity cannons, which are quite a weapon.
the combine would look at the Scarab and then make there own, but bigger and better, and the convenant will be like ohhh no we cant steal any more tech from the forerunners, run!
I wasn’t talking about power, but about technological superiority.
Too bad that the Scarab is Covenant technology.
I could point out that the Scarab is also a type of synth (yes, it is a living creature) that is far more impressive than a strider, but I chose not to.

Oh, and it can’t be covenant technology entirely. Since they stole the forerunners technology it is most likely based on a forerunner creation, or at least based on their technology.
The actual game, where they have muscles that bleed when you shoot them. They are basically giant Hunters.
Prove that it’s blood and not oil/some covenant liquid. There are plenty of machines that can leak liquids.
It uses the same textures as blood in that game. It looks EXACTLY like blood. And it comes out of a beating, muscle covered internal organ.
If all of the cov´s army fleet and all appeared in orbit above Combine controlled earth as it was at the begining of HL2 they would start to Glass the planet as soon as they found out most of the population was either flood like or human.

whether or not the Combine would have time to call home for help, and how long would would that help take to get to earth would not change the multiple beams,(every ship in the covie fleet) Glassing the earth.

The Covenant are masters of traversing their own universe and would win almost any space battle the combine engaged them in, if the Combine even has such technology. The Covenant do not have any way to tunnel between universes tho, and could never launch any sort of offensive against the Combine. All the Combine need to do is open a portal above combine home world or in High Charity and the Covenant are screwed. They wouldn’t
glass their own home planet, just to have the Combine pop up at their new base of operations.
Except that combine soldiers suck and couldnt kill a single anything with 10,000 troops.

Drop a dark energy reactor in the middle of their forces, set it to overload, but leave the circuit interrupted, an engineer will fix it (that’s what they do) and trigger the overload, killing everything in its range.
