Call of Duty Ghosts

Well, a new Call of Duty game has been announced, opinions?

I’m not excited for this in the least (that last CoD I bought was Black Ops and only because of the great campaign) but I will be tracking it. I’m interested in seeing what is meant by this ‘next-gen engine’. Will it just be the current engine with next-gen graphics, or have they actually reworked it from the ground-up this time? Only time will tell I suppose.

Whether it’s going to be the best CoD ever or the very worst, this series needs a rest.

I’ve yet to be disappointed by any CoD, so can’t see what could go wrong with this.

Unless they actually make any changes to the gameplay this time around, then it might crash and burn.

Oh gee, what a surprise.

No gameplay yet, so I’ll stay neutral for now.

Maybe it’ll be less tightly scripted and linear this time.

That would be a nice change.

What if it’s a really god damn fun throwback to Finest Hour about a bunch of paramilitary dudes who have survived conspiracy and are now banding together to take down the system and their whole getup is in honor of Ghost from MW2 (Obviously for marketing, but lore-wise, what if the head honcho was his brother or something)

Oh finally, some more faggotry from Activision and Infinity Ward.

Hahah, the narrator sounded like Adam West. Now that would be a refreshing change of pace for CoD.

The first advert for the game, no footage, and Activision already has the balls to ask for pre-orders. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

And guess what? They’ll get them. They may be arrogant but they know when they’re onto a good thing.

ugh

That’s the depressing part, isn’t it?

It’s fucked already.

I used to think CoD rules the genre. Thank fuck, I used to think so five years ago, when CoD was actually good.

I heard they were using a new engine for this game. Not going to save the uninteresting gameplay but it’s interesting.

CoD has changed balls all (one of the biggest arguments bandwagoners like to use to shit all over the franchise). So if it was good 5 years ago, it’s still good today. Unless others have come around to dominate that genre, and as far as I can tell, none have.

Sure, it’s ridiculous that Activision keeps charging full retail price for pretty much the exact same game over and over again, but other than that, CoD barely has any flaws that justify calling it shit games.

The maps have gotten progressively worse and the gameplay progressively more annoying with too much over-reliance on killstreak rewards and air based attacks.

CoD 4 had the best maps and the simpler, less bloated gameplay was more engaging.

That’s mainly down to personal preference. I enjoyed BO2 a lot more than the last one I played before that (BO).

Oh I was mainly talking about the Modern Warfare series. Black Ops is a bit better in that regard.
