Black Mesa Machinima: "Don't Forget Me".

It would seem that if you are just going to make a vlog, a live action film would be easier to make.

It would seem that way, wouldn’t it.

It would be REALLY hard to make a convincing background set for a live action one though, though. Plus, probably expensive.

Anyways, I really like the idea… Though I’m thinking: Will it be like Andy’s video with a stationary camera (Moves it depending on where he goes, of course), will he be walking around with it, or both?

I also like the reference to Operation Lambda

EDIT: Actually, I just re-read one of your previous posts, which pretty much answers my question…

Honestly, I think it would be a better idea for him to be updating a vlog from a PDA, rather than from his dorm/office. Gives a better variety of locations and more for the main character to be doing.

Nonsense! If it is too hard to find an office or a university science lab, then a green painted sheet of cardboard can be a quick and easy green screen.

and then it ends up looking like this

Oh god, not uplink :fffuuu:
That was a terrible, terrible film. You should be ashamed for even linking to it.

A part of me did die inside, yes.

I dare someone to do a remake of this for the fan video community project.

I recently bought a professional R0DE studio microphone so I’d be happy to help with any voice acting / sound effects.

A remake of the Uplink video would be good if it was done a hell of a lot better. :jizz:

Crap ! I’ve thought it was lost for ever…

[after watching it]
To bad it was’nt.

I could always do both, But I’d rather stick to the original idea first. :stuck_out_tongue:

Hopefully though, now some plans have changed, I hope to have this out around the same time as Black Mesa, so this project is active now. When BM is released, if some episodes are done, they will be instantly uploaded to YT and dA, and the links will be here as well.

All I need, is someone to make a scientist model!

If you need a map for the lab it takes place in, I can send you my (unfinished) Black Mesa map.

Have you started on a script?

Script is being worked on with me and a guy at Facepunch.
(I know, I know, how could I possibly fall so low?)

No, seriously, there are some awesomely talented people down at Facepunch, I now have music composer, an animator, a script writer.

I still need a modeller and a mapper!

Spycrabz, feel free to speak to me on Steam.

Also, I have been doing another single episode Machinima that I have been keeping undercover for a while, but I want to mention it anyway. It’s called Somewhere in City 17, and it’s inspired by those I Am Legend Animated Comics. Since that’s only going to be one episode, It’s easy to get it done and show it.

I’m working on this one as well, both at the same time.

Added, I’ll talk to you about it when I get home later.

OK, sure. I’ve accepted your invite.

Sorry adam, I won’t be able to send it till tomorrow.

No problem, don’t worry.
