Black Mesa Machinima: "Don't Forget Me".

I guess you are Adrian fan?

Oops, I was thinking about something else.

That is a good point though Adam, how do you plan to get the models?

Obviously I’m going to wait until Black Mesa is released, if the devs aren’t too happy with me using the actual models from Black Mesa, then I’ll find or make another scientist one.

Excellent idea

I’ve played around with faceposer before, its pleasantly easy to use. I won’t offer my voice acting ‘talents’, people will think there’s some kind of farmer hanging around outside :stuck_out_tongue:

Good luck

Sounds like a pretty neat idea!

Can’t wait to see it come to life!

I can help with voice acting if you need a cat

Oh, your cat sounds have to be included. :3

Could be a part where the scientist says “Wait, did you just hear a cat?”

He STILL has nightmares about that cat.

Is this going to be made in SDK or some shitty Gmod video? I could try to help if you needed some minor mapping done.

Also, if you still need models (dunno how to convert from gmod to HL2):

Count me in. Done machinima before.

But this doesn’t exactly seem machinima-ish. Its seems like it will be just choreography the whole time.

Can you show me your stuff, YourArcenist? I feel like seeing it. Ya know, just for fun.
(That sounded very wrong…)

Sounds like a cool story bro. Unfortunately I can’t do much to help you except some mappan though I am trying to learn faceposer as well so…

Story idea (obvious, but maybe you haven’t already thought of it yourself - otherwise ignore it):

First Vlog: Scientist states he has to keep the name and location of his workplace confidential, or else he is getting fired or worse.

Vlog after RC: Scientist decides to unveil as much truth about Black Mesa and what happens there as possible, because his chances of survival are bad anyway.

One thing though, please don’t make him interact with any major characters.

In before the Cloverfield.

It’s similar to Cloverfield, I did get inspiration from that, but I mainly got inspiration from District 9. It’s just going to be a fixed place, his computer has a webcam and he films Vlogs of himself daily giving updates.

I like the Confidential part, Delta, maybe on the first episode I can have that.

He’s not going to interact with any main characters at all.

There’s only one reference to any other characters in the Unofficial Half Life world, and it’s one line mentioning that Dr. Alex Rhoza has disappeared. (Operation Lambda - HL2 Mod)

Maybe you should watch this for inspiration as well.

I’ve seen parts of that. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, that’s a good bit of footage as well, I’ve done research to see how people interact with these situations, as well as common sense.

Thanks for the link, it was good to watch it all the way through.

Maybe have Norman really confused and frantic in the second episode, because he doesn’t work in sector C, and thus has no idea what’s going on.
In episode 3, he’s met up with an injured scientist from Sector C, and is explaining to the world what’s going on, perhaps with the scientist giving corrections every once in a while.
After all, each area is dealing with their own section of expertise, non-physists wouldn’t understand the nuances of a resonance cascade.

Count me in if you need some radio voice or something.
