it seems my humor is going over your head.
my apple orgies, sir.
Pretty much.
You’re forgiven.
I thought it was a good interview.
Indeed, I was very grateful for it and enjoyed the read.
Every week for the past four years (without fail) I’ve been Googling “Black Mesa Source” under the News function.
It’s usually always crap, and I’ve learnt a lot about the politics in Costa Mesa in the US over the years, but I never had the heart to just forget about BMS.
It’s too awesome a project to just give up on.
EDIT:
Your sig made me lol
“Soonish.”
Welp, see you in 3 years.
Careful now…you might get banned.
Fear not mortal! It shall be released before the sweet embrace of death draws nigh!
Probably.
Realistically I expect it will be released before the end of the year.
I say that because the mantra of the interview was;
“We stoped saying anything because when we do people bitch.”
So…
“Us saying soon-ish in the context of all we’ve learnt about about how bad it can be to say things prematurely - really does mean soon-ish.”
Hang in there guys.
Besides, what’s another year? That just means we’ll have a little while longer to spend with each other!
Oh goody…
:fffuuu:…Groan… >
ops i accidentally 6 years of waiting
Realistically I think soon-ish could mean late 2012 or early 2013. If we are lucky we might get Black Mesa as a christmas or a new years present.
If it’s not released till 2013, someone’s getting 50 bucks \o/
At the latest, they’ll probably release BM tied into the 14th anniversary of the release of the original HL back on Nov. 19, 1998, a truly golden day.
One can only hope and pray for an earlier release date.
C’mon Devs, slam dunk this baby and then let the high praise and accolades wash over you all. You definitely deserve and need it… it’s been seven years and you guys wreak of BO.
Would you like some Balck Meas Sauce with that? Anyway it will be released in about 7(days or years or weeks or months). duh
Man, That is going to be a lot to upload come the day of release.
What’s a black mesa and why isn’t it forums
Well, to be fair you can’t expect the developers to cater to people who were disappointed in HL2. That would be catering to the miniscule minority because most people loved HL2 and consider it one of the best games ever made.
With that in mind, taking ideas from HL2+Episodes is probably a good idea if you want to please the masses and make a more modern-esque game. Personally, I love both HL1 & HL2 roughly the same. I’ve replayed both of them basically every year since they’ve came out, neither ever get old to me.
Anyways, cool new screenshots. Loving the surgery room, looks incredible!
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
