Black Mesa interview on Rock Paper Shotgun

https://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2012/05/09/interview-what-happened-to-black-mesa-source-part-1/

Carlos Montero talks about how it is to work on a mod of such magnitude and the whole malarkey surrounding the 2009 deadline.

Shhhhweeet
:awesome:

That’s a good read, looking forward to part 2.

More of the same, good read though nicely structured.

How epic does that wizard on the background look?
I’ll start reading now.

Me too!

Edit:

[COLOR=‘DarkOrange’]:lambda: :lambda: :lambda: Area is being secured sir! :lambda: :lambda: :lambda:

Apart from the pic above, nothing new in this interview (for us anyway) but I guess it’s good BM gets a lil advertisement once in a while.

MEDIA!!!

I think Part Two will hopefully give us some new info.

If in part 2 they say any dates or years be prepared to aim up to a millenium beyond that for the mod’s actual release

EDIT: And do NOT feed the troll on the other thread!

Everything that was said in that interview, I’ve known for a while now. But part two will be different.

Part two will come with a download link.

Great read! Thanks, I enjoyed the interview.

Well, as they will discuss about how much is to go, I don’t think so

Well, the interview wasn’t really aimed at the regular forumites - preaching to the choir, and all that. Many props to Carlos for a really articulate and straight-talking interview. It won’t shut up the many, many, many trolls, but at least the world knows what we know.

so then dus tat meen the mod isnt coming out?

:retard:

good article. I will wait for part 2 with baited breath… or at least until I come here tomorrow. and by waiting I mean occupying myself with other stuff instead.

awesome

according to the Internet there will be a download link for the mod at the end of the second part.

the whole interview should have been:

“Interviewer: So why did it take so long?”
“Carlos: Because a good game may be delayed for a while, but a bad game will suck forever.”

man, so this
This first part of the interview seems kinda pointless, could be summarized with " it wasnt ready in 2009".
Still no release date in sight, and no new info.
Back to waiting, nothing to see here
