Yes. Yes!
And yeah, they’d have to release the Source code. That would make lots of neat stuff possible.

Does otis have a helmet and also black version in Insecurity too?
Considering the FCS has the ability to add helmets to their guards, I’m pretty sure there’d be a way to make Otis wear a helmet. But it’s not like he wore one in Blue Shift, anyway.
Who’s going to voice act Otis? I remember he had quite a distinctive voice.

What a champ.
Related to BS and OP4, i find it kinda funny that a lot of the guys in both of them like the soldiers are voiced by Duke Nukem
Otis is voiced by the same voice actor of Barney (Michael Shapiro) in OpFor and BS, only with a softer and lighter voice and also in another accent. Maybe Kevin Sisk can do it too?
Once I get more work done I might try to get a hold of the Black Mesa voice actors, but i’m not holding my breath regarding whether they’d be interested or not.
If I have more solid work to show, they might have more interest in helping out so i’ll try to get half of the maps finished in the next couple of months. I would like to replace all of the old lines and myself and ZeRo have had a few loose ideas on new scenes we wouldn’t mind seeing in game to.
Though i’m no writer, nor am i a great chroreographer but I know i’m capable of doing both to a somewhat acceptable standard.
Is there a new video of the new Outbound?
We dont want to spoil to much with videos but we may post a little something soon.
Oh my god… I almost died laughing watching the video of Otis… Yeah… The voice acting has to be top notch… Especially with the “Die, die, DIIEEEE” part.
Anyways… I am most certainly looking forward to all of this. The progress seems to be going along nicely already.
Freeman
I came. I… just came. Good job! If only we can use that head to implant a third-person view…
Holy crap, that is awesome. One minor nitpick about the head textures; On the HL2 box art, his face is just a bit paler, his eyes a bit brighter and his hair is a lighter shade of brown.
But yeah, holy crap is that an awesome model. Excellent attention to detail, too; He didn’t have time to shave because he was running late.
Just make a small patch of hair at the back that seems a bit long.
Aw, man. You cut the ponytail. Sellout.
Gordon, it is you, it is you!
Wow, that’s the best Gordon model I’ve seen since that gmod one with the creepy head, which keeps being reused in SFM videos.
Since you’re going on the way of creating new models (Otis for example), I think I’m gonna take back what I said on modDB and start tracking this mod. I admit I was afraid to see Blue Shift turned into something like the recent Uplink remake, but it seems you’re on good tracks for creativity, and I even hope to see some longer role for Otis, poor guy deserves it. =D
I find Uplink good, just need some bugfixes
I feel Uplink to have been just hurried, if given more time and resources it could have been better.
I have a question, Blue Shift didn’t have any friendly security guards because it wasn’t possible to take their armour when they died, and that didn’t make sense. Since security officers in BM may appear without their vests or helmets, will friendly security guards appear anywhere?
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
