Any updates at all about the status of the rextextures/mp5? (I know they’re from different people, just trying to bump this thread a bit)

the retextures are going slow, now that school’s starting up again

I plan on doing the shotgun/glock next

Just to tell you guys that the mp5 is still being worked on.

Not only did he have to completely re-UV everything, now he’s still working on the texture, and it’s awesome!

I take it you have already animated the model so we are only waiting for the texture?

I also want to say thanks again for doing this pack it really made a big improvement to the way the game felt.

I’ll probably be playing BM again once the MP5 is finished, that’s how much I missed it.

But could you please make an optional version of some skins where you shorten some of the animations?
Because some are just too long and change the gameplay,like the grenadethrower reload.

To me, the longer reload animation for some weapons causes me to play cautiously and reload more often

that, and I save the M4 grenades for squads of aliens or grunts

I can live with the longer reload animations, but the draw animations really hurt it for me.

Quickly throwing a grenade is basically impossible because of them, and given the AI’s tendency to charge your position constantly, it makes any sort of weapon switching while fighting HECU a guaranteed loss of at least 30 health.

I actually liked all the animations. My 1 gripe was the Smith & Wesson Model 29 that replaced the Colt Python. This is mostly an issue for me because it feels weird using 0.357 Smith & Wesson Magnum ammunition in a firearm chambered for 0.44 Remington Magnum (yes, there are many differences between the 2 ammunition types. Check the Wikipedia articles for more information).

Yeah I saw that when I was looking at his vids in my sub box, makes me happy as I was kind of waiting to finish my next playthrough of BM for the MP5.

I really don’t like the M4 in the first pack

I think the M4 is ok, the only problem with it is part of the game: the burst-firing. It just makes it awkward, but other than that I don’t really mind it.

I hope he fixes the M203 grenade launcher reloading even when there is no more ammo. I wonder if he could possibly add an option in the menu which allows you to chose between the Mp5 or the M4, the .357 or the Deagle and the Glock 17 or the Baretta. That would be pretty cool

They would have to hex-edit every skin so they don’t overwrite each other, which can be pretty time consuming

I don’t like this aswell, when the ammo is empty, it’s not possible to load another one. The same with the other guns using a visible ammo pack: Magnum, crossbow (when u have 3 arrows left, u see the animation load a complete arrow pack)
