I like the model choices, they fit very well
although part of me wonders why the HECU use M4s instead of M16s, or had those not been invented in the early 2000s? (At which point Half-Life/Black Mesa takes place)
The M4A1 is just a shorter, lighter version of an M16A2, for better use in close quarters.
And officially adopted by the US military in 1994, so perfectly plausible to be used by the HECU during the time of Black Mesa.
Will we be getting the backward swipe to the crowbar?

I want the right mouse button for another action with the crowbar…
actually I noticed the back swipe is there but it hardly ever plays… It seems it will appear on the first strike occasionly… Where as in the original half life it always appeared as a second or 3rd strike I think.
Right mouse button or double attack on crowbar not possible unless the source code is available.
an alt attack with the crowbar would be interesting, a slow, but powerful backswing, like the Pipe Wrench in Op4?
I’m waiting for a version with a reanimated Colt Python model as an option to replace the Smith & Wesson Model 29. It just feels weird using 0.357 Magnum ammunition in a firearm chambered for 0.44 Magnum. Yes, there’s a difference.

I checked the Half life wiki and there are only 3 weapons missing from the set with these new arms and animations…

In fact there is a sniper in the game (in fact not visible, not with a weapon), but would be great to see him drop down the window and his gun falls to the ground
Note that creating animations can only replace the current visual weapon animations, they can’t be used to make weapons function differently without further programming.
Only if the gun is a prop…we already have the crossbow for Sniping
although since the AI seem to have eagle vision, it’s rather pointless

The crossbow could be swapped for a sniper rifle…If the model lined up with the crossbow exactly… But would need totally new animation for reload.
MP5 reload animations if u use a modern rifle, at least for inserting the cartridge
