I’m really worried about Rage. I think it looks fucking awesome, but the community response has been lukewarm at best. This might be id’s first ever financial failure.

The GOW games are all the exact same, and GOW3 will also be the same. It will profit and though, just like CoD.
I’ve not liked either of the GoW games, so I don’t know too much about them, other than the fact that both got extremely boring to me within the first 5-10 minutes.
I honestly don’t think RAGE will fair well, so much has happened since Id Software released a game that is seems as though time has passed them by.
I don’t think RAGE will flop by definition but I doubt it will live up to expectations.
And Id’s lack of relevance in this generation of gaming doesn’t help RAGE’s chances.
I saw it getting a lot of attention on G4’s E3 coverage, and didn’t it win Best Game of E3? Most people must know about it coming out, and great graphics do attract people!
I hope RAGE doesn’t flop, looks like a great game, and Id could use another hit.
I don’t remember it getting best of E3 award, I think at that time most publications gave that award to Portal 2 and Crysis 2.
Can we call Gears of War games Gears games, and God of War games GOW. Its confusing otherwise.
