I want to know how varied you guys are. What’s the best looking game you’ve ever played? When I say this, I mean something more along the lines of “best” stylistically. Not realisticly. Realism has been done to death. Let’s see what else is out there?

It takes a while playing the game before you’re able to actually see what’s going on.
Mass Effect or Halo. Love the sleek shapes and colorful technology.

Not realistic.
Both games try to create a realistic science fiction world.
Descent 2. each blocky texture I see brings back waves of nostalgia and I still love em to this day, and when I first saw it, it looked amazing.
also Myst, Riven, Exile, etc. Yes, they do look very ‘realistic’, but they do it in a way that makes it sort of, unrealistic. hard to describe.

Halo has beautiful art direction, great gameplay, phenomenal voice acting, and fun weaponry - this factors into it’s incredible success as a franchise, which is why they can sell hundred-dollar special editions to millions of people across the civilized world.
If you think Halo is bad, you’ve either never played it, or you just decided to jump on the elitist console-bashing fagwagon that is PC ownership.

How can a universe where every alien has 2 legs, a human face, and speaks english be realistic?
You want realism, pick up a gun and kill people. You’ll soon find that reality is the most unbalanced game there is.
Zeno Clash has the best artistic beauty I’ve seen in a video game. Borderlands also has a rather distinct art style.
If aliens did stand on two legs and have humanesque faces, that is what they would look like realistically.

The original. Don’t get Dreamfall. It’s total crap, sadly. TLJ is one of the best games I’ve ever played tho.
