Best Game Soundtracks of All Time

Duke Nukem 3D - Stalker

Daggerfall - Snowing

Daggerfall - Night

^ Those 2 daggerfall songs are probably some of my favorite VG tracks ever

^ A-fuckin-greed. The soundtrack really turned me on to Jami Sieber and now she’s one of my favorite new age musicians.

Diablo - The Crypt

I wish Matt Uelmen would work on other games besides Torchlight, he did great stuff for Diablo.

God yes, love that song so much

Bastion - Slinger’s Song

Reminds me so much of the tv show Firefly, love it.

The Okami soundtrack is pretty much fantastic. I love running around sunny Ryoshima Coast with Amaterasu and this beat.

But… probably this one is the most tightly soldered in my memory. And still gives me goosebumps.

This track from Morrowing is just great.

^Morrowind*

Also, have some System Shock 2 soundtrack.

time to kick this thread buck up a notch

Metroid Prime Music: Title Screen Intro Theme

Forgot how much I liked the music it’s been so long

Then what about the credits

Freespace 2 ending theme

I fucking love this song. God, I want to go play this again now. Metroid Prime is the shit.

The more I’m listening to that song the more I’m loving it. Every time I load up the game I just want to sit at the start screen because of it

First time I loaded up I get my ass beaten down by Thardus. God, that fucker is hard on Hard mode.

Well, that’s how it should be.

It’s probably not like most modern games, where the difficulty spectrum goes tutorial<normal<hard<insane<hardcore<ultra-hardcore<super-realistic-mega-hardcore-helldeath.

Actually, Thardus is usually a pretty tough boss regardless. It’s why Thardus is awesome.

Usually if you have problems in a Metroid game it’s because you haven’t been exploring enough. There’s tons of expansions for your missiles and health to find, and they can all be reached at different times depending on what weapons you’ve found.

It occurs to me, as I’m playing the Ratchet & Clank series on an emulator, that these games have really bitchin’ soundtracks.
