Barney Calhoun?

Except for the fact that every damn citizen somehow knows his name & treats him like some kind of war hero.

Unless Gordon Freeman is the name of the crowbar, the guy holding it is just an average peon.

According to doctor Kleiner, it was just upgraded to be more comfortable!:retard:

this is how ppl saw freeman in hl1: A normal guy with nothing to do. Completely silent, really shy and talented with weapons.

And this is how ppl saw freeman in hl2: “HOLY SHIT! IT’S FREEMAN!” Translation: holy shit, it’s a messiah.

I believe he’s referring to the end of HL2 where you’re fighting alongside barney for a bit and barney will periodically shout out

“just like old times eh Gordon”.

Theres an article where gabe newell basically said that they can and probably will make some canon non-canon. So after reading into that I figured any and all official storyline for HL doesn’t truly exist now. For example the Opposing force official expansion. That in the end will probably get torn up and shredded. I don’t like the idea. But I have no doubts it will happen.

What makes you think he’s shy? Just because he’s quiet doesn’t mean it has to be because he’s shy.

More like “oh you’re that Freeman guy Eli asked me to hep through the underground railroad.”

Gordon raids Nova Prospekt almost single-handed, Citizens up-rise

“Oh shit! Everybody, follow him.”

epic win

Nah, he really seems to be referring to how everyone in the facility fought to save their lives. Against aliens…Hell, he says it even if combine OR headcrabs are around I believe. But if he said it around metrocops and combine, it’d be like he was talking about the HECU marines and their similarity to the combine.

Yeah right man, those HEV suits were Black Mesa exclusive. there were probably only 20 ever made…Black Mesa was nuked, therefore The HL2 suit has to be Gordon Freeman’s original just upgraded…
YEA:freeman:

Sorry Double Post

HEV suits are not to be trusted, they are tricky! Check Gordon’s first, Mark IV suit: at the end of Half-Life, the G-Man has taken away all of Gordon’s weapons, but not his suit. Yet at the beginning of Half-Life 2? It’s… it’s gone! Gone like the Joker’s pencil.

As for Gordon’s new, Mark V suit? It just upgrades itself for an unknown reason, after Gordon falls unconscious due to the shockwave of the Citadel’s explosion…

The HEV Suit Mark IV has been upgraded to Mark V by Dr. Kleiner sometime in the 20 years Gordon was in stasis.

Oh I love this comic series! Barney also has his moments in it… would love to put in that page I’m talking about, but I think Cyrus’ pic is enough for now.

I miss Concerned…

Well, at least the author finished it, before the quality could have dropped. Although some parts at the ending are alredy a bit lame. (for example, the explanation of Frohman’s invulnerability :meh: )

Yeah big plot hole there, Buddah just makes it so you take damage down to 1 HP, since he turned it off, he didn’t get hurt, he is still alive. With 1 HP.

I played a mod called “Induction”. It featured a few things that happened before HL1, and when Kliener locks his keys in his office, Barney says “Gordon! If you beat me into his office, I’ll buy you a beer!”. You go to the supply room, grab a crowbar, and bash into his office via the ventilation shafts.

That solves a few things in my little world.

Just played it. Why the fuck did I like it so much?

@ DragonXGW: actually you can see Gordon twice in Blue Shift, first time at the station where he passes you with his tram, second meeting is after you have entered the last teleporter and you get teleported around. One of the locations will be a small storage room, where you can see Gordon being dragged away by two HECU’s (before he gets thrown in the junk compressor I suppose)
