Wow if Half-Life 2 were like that it would be much more awesome.
:awesome:
the halflife movie should be something like this
thumbs up it should be longer though
He should work with valve seriously !
That is some amazing stuff! O.O
Neat, but I would puke every 5 minutes if they made a game or movie like that.
He is better than valve animators thats for sure, but really, thats not hard to accomplish ;f
Delete this, I’m retarded.
edit: no actually, blue is still an idiot, L4D has some great mo-cap and animation blending.
Hopefully they’ve overhauled all animations for Episode 3 so they use the same animation tech from L4D.
Oh, no wait i remembered about bethesda, valve seems godly compared to those guys when it comes to in game animations ;f
And this rate ep3 will use animation tech from Left4Dead 3 O_o
Yes, Bethesda, the big budget underachievers. However Oblivion is still the best FPS RPG so shut up.
F’x’d
I will have to respectfully disagree with you that Oblivion is still the best FPS RPG. Morrowind was much better, despite its flaws. I would honestly take a larger area to explore and a great story over a smallish area to explore with a meh story and cool graphics. Just my opinion.
STOP RIGHT THERE CRIMINAL SCUM!
This was awesome. I’ve seen the second video before, but not the first one. Honestly though, a movie using first-person like that would just come off as gimmicky & could get too nauseating. This short as it is however, is perfect.
It’s actually really, REALLY hard to script animations with eye-to-eye contact with the player and other NPCs at the same time outside of a cutscene.
Back on topic:
Yeah no kidding.
This style wouldn’t mesh with what Valve does at all, unless these were emergent animations that happen on the fly, like a vastly more complex version of what some the enemies in Rage can do. That will probably in happen in the next 10-15 years (or less?), but for now this would all have to be annoying scripted bullshit ala Modern Warfare.
That said, the animator did a really nice job with it. I’m not knocking the quality of the animation. It’s just that this kind of gimmicky gameplay is not what Half Life is about.
nope
the original HL2 had the best animations no matter you sayin
What?
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
