At what number is a game/film series dead?
I would go for around 4, but then it seems they start making Xgame 3: The X chronicles 2, or just Xgame: X.
Well I say 4 because of CNC4 :meh:
what do you guys think?:retard:

I think it’s more of a litter rather than a number. And by letter I mean two letters, and by two letters I mean EA and by EA I mean Electronic Arts, and by electronic arts I mean the destroyer of all them is good in this world.
Hey Firetime, you spelled Activision wrong.
Also, doesn’t the HL franchise have 4 games out already?
But they are not all consecutive. And they did a fairly good job. Though Ep1/2 don’t make it into my books as two separate game.
It depends for me. I like most of the FF series. Some were hit or miss. CoD seems to be dragging hardcore. And I’m slightly concerned with Crysis 2.
I hope Crysis 2 is better than the first one, I mean they don’t have to spent much time on the engine now, so they can focus on the story
13, because how many more fucking Final Fantasies are there going to be before they get to the FINAL fantasy. I really don’t ‘get’ those games to be honest…
They are aiming for 42.
Every FF game has a new story with new characters… so… I’d say, it’ll never end…
This +
They stated that hardware requirements are lower then the Original first game of theirs.

It’ll be pretty fucking awesome graphics at Ultra-High too.
Reminds me of that bit from 28 days later.
Activision is the new EA.
They called it Final Fantasy because the first one was going to be the companies final game; but it did very well and therefor they made more. Plus it’s already been said but each game is a completely new story/characters/setting/everything, so it’s not really a series in that sense.
I don’t think there is a set number when a series becomes terrible. As long as they keep innovating in every game, they could technically go on forever.
About 7
You see Crysis could make a few more games, and base them in different parts of the world. and itll still be good.
@Maxey hur hur, but i’m not disagreeing tho.
Want to here some seriously depressing news ? Guess who is making the new Goldeneye game. Give you hint, starts with Acti- and ends with utter disappointment.
Provided they maintain the balance and not go making it where Russia built a million Nano units and you have to kill an entire Russian army. Or God forbid…time travel.
Yup, and the graphics are the exact same.
I’m not sure what that video proves, since it’s a pre-rendered cinematic production utilizing various resources from the game. Do you ALWAYS judge a game’s graphics and content based on pre-rendered cinematic trailers? Because I don’t think I’ve ever seen a game adequately represented by its advertisements.
Also, Crysis 2 is looking to just be the city parts of Halo 2, except with slightly different-looking enemies and rendered in a modified CryEngine 2.
