I know, I was being serious
I’ve a question for my fellow countrymen. Are there many bogans in Melbourne compared to Sydney?
and by ‘many’ I mean am I going to hear the sound of V8 engines, guys making noises like wounded seals and girls yelling something in their special crow language outside my window in the inner-suburbs at 2.30am on Saturday morning if I move down?
also anyone who has asked a question that hasn’t been addressed, repost if you still want it answered as I can’t be screwed checking whether ALL questions have indeed been replied to.
Melbourne’s all choca-latte’s an’ turtlenecks in’t?
I was hoping for some normal.fucking.people actually.
Haha, people think north sydney is posh because it’s rich, but it’s full of tradies =D
Yes.
Any Australian city has its fair share of bogans, it’s a fact of life. It just depends where you go, really. Some areas have more than others, some are full of Asians and other nationalities and you play spot the white person. But from my time in Melbourne, it’s a pretty nice place. Felt alot more relaxed than Sydney, but then I was only there for a week.
The thread for this has been active for a while now…
I know… I just wanted…
:hmph:
As Fridge said, any city you go to will have it’s fair share of bogans, it’s unavoidable.
See: Springvale.
what the hell are bogans?

Is it true that the water spins the opposite way when you flush the toilet?
That’d make for some pranks I’m planning on
?
Oh, wait, BOGANS…
Well, according to my very short research (you can do that on the interwebs now), a bogan is simply a pejorative similar to “redneck, hillbilly, or white trash”. They are generally undereducated and lower-class and their style of dress, choice of music, etc, reflects this.
Am I close?
Bscly.

Ha. I go there to get my $8 haircuts.
I think so, but a better description would be Australia’s version of a chav.
Sort of. A simpler explanation would be “an american redneck with mullet, thick outback accent and ute sporting an enormous bullbar.”
I wouldn’t call them Australian chavs, as chavs tend to lean towards the US “gansta” culture.
