Ask a Muslim!

Book burnings are always a sign of interesting times coming up. We Germans have some experience with this shit.

A Christian who hates Islam with a passion has no idea about their own religion.

Book Burnings? by CHRISTIANS???
NOT AGAIN

Yeah, Christians in general tend to get afraid of books. Because, you know, they require the ability to read and think in order to understand them.

Which is not what Christianity is about. It is more about “listen and obey” than “read and think”.

Stop confusing fundamentalism with the whole religion Danson.

those fucking terrorists did it again !!! they attacked my country :rage:

What? Where? What happenned?

https://en.ammonnews.net/article.aspx?articleNO=9216

Well, they didn’t really “attack” your country. They were meant for the Israeli (tourist) city of Eilat, as 4 rockets landed in or close to Eilat. 1 rocket strayed and hit Aqaba.

Unless, of course, those that fired the rockets wanted to hit Aqaba, but their aim is so horrible that they only managed to get one hit.

but man, this isn’t the only time Aqaba has been hit by rockets

You mean regarding all wishy-washy cherry-picking would-be Christians as fundamentalists. Okay, I can stop doing that.

Have you seen one of those rockets been fired? They curve within the first metre of flight. Hardly surprising that they never land where they are intended.

lets revive this thread, and reopen the interesting discussions

Sure, why not? May I begin again?

Why Islam? Why not some other religion? How did you arrive at “Islam” being the “correct” answer?

And why is every sentence in this post a question?

because.

/thread.

:troll face:too lazy to go get and link it:

inafterlock?

edit: Or maybe not.

no lock. it is a valid discussion actually. as long as someone (muslim) wants to engage in a friendly discussion.

(but I sense a trap myself. dont do it shadi! dont do it!)

I’m actually interested in why people choose a specific religion over another. It’s not a trap (ignore the Ackbar behind the curtain).

Though, I am a bit perturbed by the fact that I can’t ask a perfectly valid question without someone suggesting that I have ulterior motives. Once again, for the nth time, I’m not anti-religion. I’m just not religious.

Been reading The God Delusion and got to this part in the book “Spectrum of theistic probability” I found out Im a 5, Dawkins is rated a 6.

Have a look…

  1. Strong theist. 100 per cent probability of God. In the words of C.G. Jung, ‘I do not believe, I know.’

  2. Very high probability but short of 100 per cent. De facto theist. ‘I cannot know for certain, but I strongly believe in God and live my life on the assumption that he is there.’

  3. Higher than 50 per cent but not very high. Technically agnostic but leaning towards theism. ‘I am very uncertain, but I am inclined to believe in God.’

  4. Exactly 50 per cent. Completely impartial agnostic. ‘God’s existence and non-existence are exactly equiprobable.’

  5. Lower than 50 per cent but not very low. Technically agnostic but leaning towards atheism. ‘I do not know whether God exists but I’m inclined to be skeptical.’

  6. Very low probability, but short of zero. De facto atheist. ‘I cannot know for certain but I think God is very improbable, and I live my life on the assumption that he is not there.’

  7. Strong atheist. ‘I know there is no God, with the same conviction as Jung “knows” there is one.’

that’s an interesting question, as they say “people’s choice” so everyone got his own good reasons right ? as for me I found that Islam is actually more related to science than Christianity I’ve read the Qur’an and I found really amazing things regarding this universe and the discoveries that being discovered today which they were written in a book more than 1400 years ago, but I have a lot of other reasons also but none of them are…let me say “harmful”
