who you callin jesus
to be honest, I don’t have the Full information about it, but all I know that if a Woman got raped she must either bring witnesses that actually saw her or even helped her etc…) or get Medical Report before she accuses someone, I don’t see what in this statement you didn’t understand, now accusing innocent person (whether it was a man or Woman) is considered Fasiq (arabic word for miscreant) and the Accuser will get terrible punishment for it.
no one
I meant justification for stoning/flogging.
NO!, that’s horribly wrong, stoning a poor woman for getting raped ? that’s the most backwarded decision I’ve ever seen and Sadly I admit that some countries still apply it, but thank God that Jordan is one the most advanced educationally and Culturally Arabian Countries in the Area.
as for Flogging, like I said before, accusing an Innocent person (whether it was a man or a woman) is considered a Sin and the accuser get flogged and to never take his testimonies seriously again.
there are several types of Accusing and I do believe that you know them all.
hope that explained
Oh goodness, I know you’re against it, I just wondered if you knew how it was justified.
Is it then treated as a double burden situation? Does a woman who can’t fully prove that she was raped get punished, or is it that she is punished if it it proven that her allegations were false?
Like, for example, a woman accuses a man of raping her. There is some evidence, but not enough to convict. Does she get punished? Or is the burden now on the man to prove her claims were false?
That’s looks confusing as I read it so let me know if I need to clarify.
I think I get what you mean. If the evidence doesn’t show either way, does the woman get punished as “an accuser”, right?
Pretty much yeah.
no the case will become “Pending” until further proofs uncovered.
@Soup, dude I really don’t get how it’s Justified =/, I tried to explain all I knew but I hoped that the reasons I explained earlier cleared some stuff.
No worries.
Just occurred to me; how do Muslims actually pronounce their title?
I hear Americans calling them “Moslems” or “Muzzlims”, but in Australia and Britain the general pronounciation is “Moozlem”. Does it actually sound like either in the Arabic pronounciation?
in arabic it’s مسلم, now roughly we pronounce it like this >
Mo(s<—more like C)lem
so it’s like Moslem but the “S” is pronounced like C
p.s and no the English pronouncing for Muslim is Waaaay off from the original arabic pronouncing
Mo…Clem? Whuuuuuu?
Actually, I think Shadi is trying to say the way he pronounces it is “moss-lem” where the first syllable is like that green stuff that grows in wet environments.
Noooooooo, lol I meant like you pronounce C in it original vocal pronouncing, not pronouncing it as “K”
More like Muss-lem, “u” as in “you”.
All we really need is a vid or soundbite of an Arab actually saying the word.
I didn’t find that for you sorry.
Ok I have some interesting topic to discuss with you guys, “Islam & Science”
but before I start, what do you guys know about this matter ?
Didn’t the ancient Islamic world pioneer a lot of complex mathematics and astronomy?
The numbers 1-9 (and maybe “0”) are considered “Arabic” numerals. Roman numerals, on the other hand, are I-IX.
