Ask a Muslim!

Humans kill each other, humans commit rape and cannibalism, humans fight over territory, humans hate and fear, humans take and don’t give back, humans waste.

You say we aren’t of the animal, that we are better, because we can make things that destroy? How is this something to be proud of? Honestly, I’m ashamed of these qualities of humanity. All animals show these traits, but we should know better.

I don’t know what kind of cruel god could drum up a creation like this, but he should be put to death for his crimes.

Exactly, humans are part of the food chain (and consequently, the entire natural balance) and our actions affect nature as much as a wolf killing a rabbit.

Now, you could say that wolves only kill rabbits for food and they won’t eat more than they need to survive, to which I can already reply: in terms of rabbits, yes. But then look at what happens when wolves trespass the territory of coyotes (or the other way around).

There have been reports of wolf packs killing nearly half the coyote population in certain areas. And it’s not like they eat them, they just attack and kill them because the wolves care only for their own existence. Just like we humans only care for existence.

Our actions are an integral part of nature, just like the actions of wolves, just like the actions of rabbits, just like the actions of ants.

Actually, many predators, such as wolves and cats, will continue to hunt and kill even if they aren’t hungry. They don’t know when their next meal is going to be, so it would be unwise to let a meal slip through their fingers.

The biggest difference between animals and humans, I think, is that we can convince ourselves of thing that are not true. We have to constantly battle with intangibles. A house cat may become startled at a harmless vacuum cleaner, but the human becomes terrified with something as abstract as being alone in the universe.

the universe is a big place… fortunately we’re small enough for this world to be a big enough place for most of us =)

did you ever read that book in the hitch hikers guide to the galaxy series which details a machine that kills people by forcing their minds to be fully aware of the size of the entire universe and their own miniscule role in it and causing them to go completely mad?? =D

I’m rather certain that I come close to understanding the unimportance of my existence, and it doesn’t bother me in the least. I’m pretty sure that machine would only kill religious people.

understanding your insignificance =/= comprehending properly just how massive the universe is. =D

And i’m not bothered either. I don’t give a rats that the universe is not interested in me. I’m interested in the universe. I don’t have to feel important, I just have to be interested and see new things… which thankfully… as there are lots of things in this world alone… i shouldn’t run out of

No doubt. A single water molecule amongst all the water on the planet doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of how small we are.

and you just have to look at the chemical and structural complexity of any biological organism or geographical phenomena to see just how fine the details go. and when there is so much of it!

I’M GETTING A SCIENCE BONER.

no shit :awesome:

Why do you believe that there is a deity that created all that for such an insignificant species that hasn’t existed for all that long?

Humans are certainly an interesting species. We severely alter our environment, we have a a very complicated form of communication, we torture each other and we hold high values which don’t always benefit survival.

But all this is really down to our unique brain. Without it the human isn’t much better off than any other primate. Sure, this makes us different. But does it stop us being an animal? No, no that’s just an irrational superiority complex.

Putting humans on a pedestal is one of the most infuriating things about my species to me. Even down to basic organs we share similarity with other animals, but the human still thinks it is superior because it can think better.

^ seconded

I wonder if the love/hate relationship with our own species is an exclusively human trait though… =D

actually probably not… knowing the whole alpha-male thing in the animal kingdom… one of the earliest of the more specialized emotions to be developed would be “wow… what a dick”

I dunno, go ask him :stuck_out_tongue: , but besides that can you really 100% prove that we’re alone in this big universe ?

for I don’t know.

I just don’t understand what are you trying to prove here ?, I know these info and I believe in them, I didn’t say animals don’t have no feelings or “partially” think to solve problems…I mean all of us know that we are among the weakest creatures here

So why should we be so special?

He never said that. He’s a muslim, not a christian gaize! :stuck_out_tongue:
you’re getting your religions mixed up.

yeah I know… there’s so many to keep track of… wouldn’t it be easier if everyone had their personal belief without a tag and a history attatched to it and nobody inflicts it upon others or needs to because nobody cares? =p

But I confess… Without fundamentalist christians my mockery of them would no-longer be current and I would lose a joy from my life. :’(

Shadi, as a muslim, believes humans were especially created by god and aren’t animals, and aren’t a result of evolution.
The rest of us are trying to show evidence to the contrary, but obviously that’s not going to change anything.

Fixed.

oh my

edit : btw all the questions here are seems to be all the same : why god did this and that, why muslims do why why why why !

and am tired of that, I didn’t see one single question regarding Islamic Culture, Islamic way of life etc…) all questions here are actually mockery to my believes and trying so hard to change my views and prove me wrong, no bro I am not here to “force” you to believe in Islam, all I want is to explain and give you the right info about it, not from CNN not from FOX news period.
