Just pre-ordered Natural Selection 2, and I’m just wondering if anyone else is getting the game. Trying to get a better understanding of how the NS2-community is going to evolve you see.
I got a free copy from Imonfire, and I’m really looking forward to this game. Unfortunately, though, I don’t actually have beta access, so I’m afraid that I can’t really comment on it.
Yeah beta access unfortunately ended when pre-orders went up on steam. I have beta, but I’m waiting for retail so I can play with the friend I gave it to.
I have beta, it’s not as fun as NS1 was imo, but it is still very enjoyable. I play at least once a week, sometimes more. I imagine the community will create all sorts of custom content and mods since it was coded entirely in lua (or something like that).

Holy shit, I just loaded it up after several months of not playing. All new server browser, music, and a lot of things feel so…polished
I didn’t expect changes like this in such a relatively short period (considering how long it took them to do other things)

Been playing since Alpha. NS2’s pretty fantastic for too many reasons to list. Easily my favorite online MP game to play.
That said, since I bought the beta back in “We need the money” days, I have a spare NS2 key. Message me if you’re interested.
Welp, as a little hint to whats coming soon, they put screenshots of the (unfinished) dynamic infestation that will generate around cysts in the loading screens.
It’s still early so it looks kinda rough and odd, but it looks like it could make maps look entirely different once infested.

Yeah, this is an early version though - the first form of the overlay infestation looked like shit for several patches, so I’m sure after some time it will probably look closer to that video/better when they refine it.
I really hope so, because that old test is still fucking awesome.

Yeah, if they flatten it out a bit but still keep it a little rounded it would look great
It might look best if it flattens out over large areas, but stays bumpy on small things like pipes and beams.
