And that’s why I think you’re a fanboy for calling console gamers idiots.
God, let’s not get into this again.

Well if you see all these games that are supposed “console ports”, all of whom have unintelligent controls, stupid menus and the like, what would you think of console games?
Yea you have a point there. You also need to make sure to tell steam clearly which God do you belive in before you can download it.
just hit the xbox demo, seems pretty kewl. not terrifying like i remeber but i guess i was like ten…
I just wanna see the close combat kills. :3
Close combat kills are awsome, especially when a predator goes and trophy kills a marine which gives me enough time to creep in behind and headbite him.
1.Controls are easy enough to tweak yourself, it’s under keyboard config in the options I think. unless your talking about something else which then I don’t understand, cause I found them to be fine except alien’s transition.
2.I understand what you mean here, I think there was a guy spawncamping in the last server I played. Its not a grandly big issue though.
3.NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO NO.(this was typed out completly without copypasta or capslock to just show how much I feel about nerf games.:|)
all in all, I like everything eccept actually finding a game. having it do that for you is a serious pain in the ass. If I wanted the game to do everything for me I’d be playing on a console. I’m also not looking through nostagia goggles as I have never played any avp before this except the avp2 demo.
The game’s not bad at all, but of coarse I’m playing it on xbox. The controls on the alien are a little wonky at first but once you get a few kills you get right into it. If you have troubles with the wall climbing with the alien just turn on the auto transition setting. I think it works quite well. The only thing wrong is finding the game. IT TAKES FOREVER.
Alright, so I finally got used to the controls and now the game is fun.
The only real problem now is a lack of players per game, though I guess this will be resolved if the game’s community is large enough, and raising the player count to 18 players couldn’t hurt either.
It is fun! Getting the controls down was a cinch and the marines can actually hold their own once you can counter the pred’s and alien’s light attacks.
Just wanted to say that the second playtest went much better. It was probably just that I ran into a game where people had already gotten good at it and I was still learning the controls. This time around it was a lot of fun, controls felt good, damage was good, I was able to rack up kills as all species and win a couple rounds. So, pretty much the only bad thing was the spawn point thing. Aliens are still tricky to play but I don’t think it’s the game’s fault, probably just I couldn’t use it too well.
Also, the predator stealth kills on marines are super brutal. Most gruesome I’ve seen in a while. I don’t mind some blood and gore but stuff like ripping a marine’s head off is a bit much for me
Rule #34?
Sorry, I’m v slow and HAD to post that before reading the rest of the thread.
As for the demo, PC games go into 3 categories: Driving, left4dead, notLeft4dead. I only play two of those categories :s
I dunno with this game if both players know how to block/attack properly it seems like the person who makes the first attack is gauranteed to win because of all the stun effects.
Sorry for the bump, but the GT Review came out today and it is pretty decent. I’ll get the game tomorrow. https://www.gametrailers.com/video/review-hd-aliens-vs/62074
PC games go into 1 catergory: Everything unless it’s not made for PC then i get it for my PS3.
