Love Gearbox for HL-Opposing Force, but hate them for what they did to Aliens: Colonial Marines. I so wanted that game to be good.

This looks really fucking good. Everyone’s calling it “Amnesia in space” but it looks much much better than that. Amnesia’s downfall was in the poor design of the monster’s actions. He was far too scripted, and parts in which he was dynamic did not feel well done. It looks like alien is going through massive trouble to make him perfectly and effectively dynamic.
This looks a lot like what I wanted out of Bioshock II actually. The horror elements ramped up, the characters fleshed out, and the single tormenting antagonist completely unpredictable.

Such a badly worded headline. Current gen is PS4/XBO, it seems some people haven’t had that realization yet.
Yeah people make mistakes.
In my expertly uneducated opinion, “next gen” refers the newest crop of consoles until the next gradation appears on the horizon. Once the successors to the Wii U, Xbox One and Playstation 4 begin to surface, these consoles will become “current gen”.
That is, at least, how I would define it.
I would start calling console next-gen when Xbox 360 and PS3 stops getting AAA games.
