Alien Isolation

That’s actually an interesting point. It could be pretty interesting, especially since I think Ripley’s character isn’t supposed to know what happened to her mother.

You should still watch Alien, though. Even I’ve seen that movie.

Even PYRO has seen Alien Kenny, even Pyro.

I haven’t seen any of the Alien movies. Or Jurassic Park. Or Terminator.

:hmph:

One of my friends hasn’t seen any of the Star Wars movies or The Lord of The Rings trilogy. Not sure which of you is worse off…

Scratch what I said, DO THIS this way. That sounds pretty amazing.

And then come and tell us every tiny detail of what you felt and thought throughout the game so that we can live vicariously through your own shockingly sheltered existence.

I might just livestream that shit if I get it.

Yey, more kenny livestreaming.

DOO EET

No seriously though, I would love to see this game through the perspective of someone who has never experienced the Alien franchise, and the game stands perfectly well beside the first two(read: the really good) alien movies in my books.

EDIT: In other news, I was hiding under a medical bed when a survivor and the alien came in from opposite ends of the room. She screamed “Oh shit it’s here!” and turned and ran out of the room down the corridor. The alien watched her run our of the door and which corridor she ran down, and then turned around and bolted back out of the room. I scrambled out of my hiding spot and started running in the opposite direction (towards my objective) and pulled the tracker out as I was leaving to watch the survivor’s dot and the alien’s heading straight for each other (there was a corner so the survivor couldn’t see she was running right at him) I put the tracker away and as I was sprinting I could hear a terrified scream and a snarl come echoing up the hall as I rushed into a nearby room and slammed myself into a locker, the entire hospital ward falling back into abrupt silence. It’s hard to really describe it all, but I was left feeling actually shocked and quite disturbed at what I just witnessed.

You might not appreciate how true the game is to the aesthetics of the original film as much, but it could help the game be more scary for you, since you don’t know the inner workings of the Xenomorph as well as someone who’s seen all the movies.
Or how to beat it.

EDIT: Not that I know if there even is a way to beat it in Isolation.

I can top that, I’ve watched ONLY the new Star Wars movies, not the original three. :3

Oh and my Aunt worked on the set for A New Hope helping choreograph the ewok fight scenes.

If my first experience with Star Wars involved Jar Jar Binx I’d never watch the original three either.

I’m here to tell you some glorious news Garth, you may watch the first three at peace knowing that there will never be a Jar Jar jumpscare in any of them. I know, you might not trust me. you might say “My friends never told me that something so horrible was waiting for me that fateful day I went to the theatre, I don’t trust humans anymore” But please, I PROMISE he’s not there. I promise.

FYI I’ve gotten the game. Just need to find time to play it for the livestream. I’ll almost certainly post a link here about it when I do.

Make sure there’s a VOD!

AngryJoe - Alien: Isolation Angry Review

Time to rematch the first 2 Alien movies again. I’ve decided that Alien, Alien: Isolation, and Aliens are now the official alien trilogy and that alien3 and resurrection never happened.

The Ewoks were in Return of the Jedi, not A New Hope…

I’m pretty sure the only reason I liked Aliens: Colonial Marines was because I hadn’t seen either of the movies beforehand.

that’s fucking disgusting
