Seriously…once it’s done they might as well just be mum about the next one and just release it once it’s done. No matter how long it takes, waking up one morning to find out there’s a new Half Life out is greatly preferable to getting teasers about it for years upon delay-filled years.

That’s probably part of the reason they’re keeping their mouths shut about Episode 3. They avoided building up any hype for it after EP2 came out 3 years ago, because they didn’t want to showcase content that wasn’t going to be in the game, but we’ve managed to perpetuate the hype all on our own. Though for obvious reasons, they can’t keep the game completely under wraps until release. It’s bad for marketing, and if they were to make a console version, there’d be no way of keeping it’s launch date from releasing, etc.

I always just assumed that G-Man isn’t really there. Just a projection or something like that. I doubt he would put himself in any danger no matter how powerful he may or may not be.

meanwhile in VALVe:

Gabe: should we start doing the damn episode three now?

VALVe employers: Don’t worry, Half-life fans can wait other 3 years!

:fffuuu:

is it just me, or do the people in the photo next to the borealis look just like the people on the left hand side of the anomalous matierials photo?

maybe because valve reused them?

Is the Borealis photo canon? I don’t remember seeing it in any game…

^ me neither… is it possible that it’s fake?

Yes, they’re the same people. If you look at the two textures, they look like they were pretty lazily cut & pasted from one image over the other.

I will say this a billion god damn times if I have to; They’ve been working on EP3 since before EP2’s release.

Episode 3 will be short and maybe even free. They will announce that they have been working on Half Life 3 for years now.

Hahahahaha. No. Don’t be stupid. :expressionless:

don’t go that serious, I’m just kidding.

The problem with that kind of humor is that there are too many stupid posts on this forum, so It’s impossible to tell what’s humor & what’s just stupid. I could have just as easily said that I was just kidding in my post too & it would have been just as un-funny.

yeah… well so many people say that I have black humor… well, sometimes I do some really funny things too but ussually all it’s black…

[COLOR=‘Black’]even more black than this…

that wasn’t black humour

I didn’t said it was, I just said I ussually do black humor. In this case… I would call it black but it’s more like poor or terrible humor…

I hope you mean Portal related, as in, the Portal game. Because I have absolutely no doubt whatsoever regarding how the Borealis contains a great deal of portal technology. Why?

  1. It disappeared into thin air. Along with part of the dry-dock. Doesn’t that sound familiar?

  2. The Combine forces on Earth are now stranded since we knocked out their Citadel teleportation grid and thwarted their Super Portal plan. We know that the Combine are at, or at least near the Borealis location.

  3. The ship was an Aperture Science vessel. They are known for what kind of tech now? Oh yes, portal tech.

  4. Eli warned us to destroy that ship no-matter the cost. From this I can extrapolate the following truths:

The Combine want to find and utilize the Aperture portal technology located on the Borealis to call in Combine reinforcements to destroy or re-subjugate the remaining humans. Eli knows this and asks Gordon to destroy said ship and tech in order to prevent this.

I will be HIGHLY surprised if I am wrong in any of this.

you say that as if black humour and lack of humour are related

yeah… in some way…
