A Half-Life mod where the incident didn't happen?

You would play the game as is, but the testing goes fine.

But, your allowed to go anywhere in the facility without it being dilapidated.

Wouldn’t it be cool to see the facility that wasn’t screwed the hell up by the incident?

What do you think?

As long as something else happens, otherwise that sounds kinda dull…

It would be a bit boring, unless you had an idea for some other sort of action. And I don’t mean vent racing. :hmph:

I think this is an awsome idea. You could move on from the test chamber and perhaps participate in the black mesa hazard course triathalon haha and mayb some other experiements that are happening like the ones with lasers that you see in blue shift or go through the portal that the big machine thing makes and run around catching houneyes and headcrabs and then ofcourse round the day off with some paperwork. haha nah it wouldnt work but it would be funny still.

Bureaucracy-Life :expressionless:

For a mod idea, that would be absolutely horrible, for a Machinima idea, this would be brilliant, enough said…

lol. what grevious said.

actually it might work really well, as long as there was some kind of action/events/story playout.

It’s GRIEVOUS!!! NOT grevious, grievious or gravy-os!

Why is it so difficult to spell my name correctly?

Aww come on grevious, don’t be like that! :stuck_out_tongue:

How about this - the incident did happen, except instead of destroying the entire facility it simply allowed one alien (nihilanth? vortigaunt? tentacle??) through the portal. The facility is eventually quarantined, trapping a small group of scientists and security guards inside with the monster. Change the game to a survival/horror/suspense atmosphere, like the original Alien movie.

What about a mod featuring a “before the resonance casade”?
It would be like Gordon’s normal day at work, I think that would be a great idea.
Then we could explore other sectors like Sector A-1/A-2 etc by the train.
But it would require a lot of work as I presume the entire facility is rather huge.

Grevious sounds and looks better.

Matt, that sounds cool.

Yes, actually - but only if Valve released it. It would be very interesting to see more of Black Mesa as it looks like in Valve’s mind. More speculation from players on how the rest of the facility might look… no thanks.

Is that so Edam?

:frowning:

All right…

as being the new guy Gordon would simply be put in charge of cockroach extermination for the first year , the RC occurring is a real stepping stone for him …

Gordon gets bullied :expressionless:

the barneys would take his lunch money :frowning:

Barney: “Hey Gordon, how 'bout that beer you owed me?”
Gordon: “But, but I gave you one yesterday.”
Barney: “Well you’d better get me another one if you know what’s good for you!”
