hahah you said butt
I hope you guys were kidding when you said that bms is going to be released when dnf goes gold…
Oh, but so did you :0
I just read this myself, i really donno what to say. Im deeply gutted, somthing that most PC gamers have waited for such a long time for… my god…
I never got around to finishing that game, so I’m not entirely bothered by the news.
Haha, no. You guys have an actual release date!
It’s a big shame, DNF would have been a big achievement to have been released, it wouldnt have been revolutionary or anything fresh in the industry, but it would have been an achievement after it’s long dev period
DNF had many release dates (In years). First was 1999, then 2000, then 2001, then-----------
Shame.
.
Hey look on the bright side of things. A lot of people say we’ll release when Duke Numkem Forever goes gold, well it doesn’t really seem that that’ll be happening anytime soon so you know what this means right?
BACK TO THE CARDGAME FELLAZ! I’ll bring some beer, Jean Paul, you still owe me $20. :brow:
Jokes aside; it’s a shame to see a veteran such as 3drealms kick the bucket.
well ive never even seen a screen shot or anything of duke nukem i think i saw a retailer selling it once when i was little but i didnt reali have that much opportunaty to play pc games besides i was more of a console gamer back then so this doesnt realy bother me but from what ive heard about the series ( i think its a franchise of some sort not shure ) its no way near as good as half life so it doesnt bother me. and black mesa has the advantage of being a mod over DNF or what ever it was called. they had to get licences n shit for game engine then theirs financial litigation and all kinds of stuff that mod teams have to worry less about ( to a point) black mesa has been destined from day 1 to be a massive success . half-life was revolutionary, but black mesa will build opon that revelution. but back to the topic at hand . . .
this news if it is real and is 100% confirmed shouldnt dissapoint anyone im shure in your heart of hearts no that if a game takes longer than 5 or six years ( i mean retail games not mods) then you know its gunna fail as they cannot bring out a successful game less they plan on releasing expansion packs or something like that.
Well that sucks. Now… Maybe the devs will be willing to make a source mod for DNF?
or maybe this is the time to organize a group of modders here/on the interwebs and make it happen. IT CAN’T TAKE LONGER THAN THOSE 13 YEARS…
wait 10 years , will grow up , make a fortune ,buy DNF , make it and release it , no biggie
it already is ;D
Sigh I always liked their shareware games like Kiloblaster, Solar Winds, Tubular worlds, Commander Keen and Jill of the Jungle. Oh well.
Hey, good thing is, 2K games might pick up Duke Nukem Forever. And finally release it.
Holy crap!
Good thing this isn’t BLCAK Mesa or BALCK Mesar. lol
Personally, I never considered the two to be anywhere near each other in terms of vaporware. 3d Realms would release two or three screen shots and a video every five years. Your team on the other hand, had released dozens of pics, a couple videos, a fuckton of textual information, and have been in constant contact with your community for the last five years total. There’s just no comparison between the two.
You spelled Balck Meas wrong!
This is a great loss. I didn’t mind their “excessive” development times as much as I didn’t mind Valve’s release philosophy (I love it!), they made some unforgettable games.
I really hope Duke Nukem Forever will be released some day, they’ve spent so much of their time on it.
Still a new Apogee is rising, and I’m most eager to see what they have up their sleeves
. (Hope they finish DNF)
Good job, you found the joke.
