Zombie Survival Checklist

I’m putting together the ideal list of items to procure in the event of a zombie apocalypse. This is what I have so far:

Check list

-Kabar combat knife
-Set of throwing knives (why not? may as well)
-Radio
-Tactical Kevlar vest
-Hiking boots
-Kevlar Helmet
-Riot face-shield
-Goggles
-baklava
-Gas mask + Extra filters
-Set of Gloves

========

Ideal weaponry (Semi-auto civilian versions only)
One from each category

-USP .45
-Beretta 9mm
-Glock 9mm

-M4
-AK47

-Benilli M3
-Remington 870

-Crowbar
-Machete

I’m sure I am forgetting something, but i cant remember a lot of my ideas right now.

Please add your ideas to the list until it becomes the go-to resource for a zombie plague.

Keep in mind that this stuff should be something a civilian can get their hand’s on unless you list some workaround or other way to get it.

Let me also just say that my steam tag is broken, I am not always playing COD4, I don’t consider myself an expert in anything these picks are just based on hours of ADD fueled research and personal opinions. I don’t think the list is anywhere near perfect.

Nothing, because it won’t happen.

thats a pretty negative outlook on life, dontcha think?

The fact that someone says a zombie apocalypse won’t happen is a negative outlook? lolque

-Witty one-liners.

Read zombie survival guide, then never speak of it again unless you’re a faggot.

There will never be zombies. If there are, they will not be able to infect you, and they will be destroyed before you can get near them.

If it really worked like in movies, you’d be a zombie. No fucking way you’d survive.

i hated zombie survival guide actually. it was a mockery of how an actual pathogen would end up working.

either way, even if it will probably never happen, doesn’t anyone think its fun to plan ahead for this kind of stuff, like if you were allowed to customize your player in left 4 dead.

No.

Maybe for you you fat bastard I can outrun those bastards with my cybertronic legs.

Return of the Living Dead zombies, not those fucktarded George Romero ones.

Just use some of those turrets Aperture is selling now.

On yourself, because you’ll be a zombie.

Well then my cybertronic legs will carry me even farther away then, won’t they?

That and of course my shoulder-mounted SRAW Missle System should keep them at bay.

You cannot kill a zombie.

I just saw return of the living dead yesterday.

Such a bad movie but such a horrifying concept.

Well, lesse here…
Sturdy Van/SUV stocked with food would be nice.
Hazmat suit to go over everything else to prevent pathogens from getting at you through the air… Most likely military surplus, but I’m sure the local nuclear power plant would have a few.
Shotgun… preferably military surplus.
Backpack to fill with supplies; preferably large camping backpack.

Let me introduce you to my dear friend Molly.

Shoulder mounted plasma cannons, wristblades and cloaking devices are where its at nowadays.

So here is my problem.

I am a real lousy shot. No really. I am really bad. No one wants to have me in their survival pod cuz I cant shoot worth a darn. Once I get my hands on my dads awesome arsenal and I can actually practice shooting a gun, I am sure I will get real good at it, but until then, I am stupid when it comes to shooting. This is why in game, I am UBER reliant on nades. :s adface:

My only hope (I think) would be a shotgun due to the massive spray per click of the trigger.

Thoughts from the peanut gallery?

On the bright side, I have good shooting skills, that and supplies and knowledge to build generators, bombs, filters, flamethrowers, transmitters, receivers, and all that junk. Too bad I’ll probably just die out in the initial wave to be of any use. :frowning:

I always thought chain mail would be a more effective armor than Kevlar considering Kevlar was designed for bullets. Considering zombies couldn’t claw through it or bite through it I think it would work.
