I downloaded Call of Duty 4 (about 6 gigabytes) with 56kbps. Yeah.
Longest download (not necessarily the biggest) was a torrent for Windows 7 that downloaded for 2 and a half days non-stop.
Before you say that it’s illegal, it was incompatible with the webcam, graphics card, mouse, trackpad, sound card and keyboard, so I went back to XP and never used Windows 7 again, except that one time.
I was going to dowload all of the Dr. Who seasons (about 11 if I remember correctly). It would have taken a year but I had no patience for these things. It was over 100gb of information.
I once was torrenting something, left it, forgot about it, and only noticed three months later that there were no seeders. It was quite a long time to download nothing.

What was that show you wanted to watch so badly? 
An older anime, Ranma 1/2. I loved the manga so I decided to give it a try, but it was tiring to watch all at once so I left it and I haven’t watched much more since. There also seems to be a lot more filler than I remembered in the manga.
Seasons 1-6 of house in HD. Can’t remember, but that shit was huge. Over 100GB by a bunch.
96 GBs for the Matrix Collector’s Edition (ten 9GB DVDs). Torrent took some 3 weeks of downloading (here and there).

World of Warcraft for sure. I remember when I bought it to try it out and by the time I think the first expansion was already in the stores but I only bought the game… I live in the middle of nowhere so when I came up to install it (long install btw) I had to download patch x, y, z … etc… were so many patches since the release of the game. Some up to 2Gb others up to 500mb and the final ones around 50mb + I had an Huawei E220 with 2Gb! Well when we paid the internet around that time it was D: :’(. After 2 years or so we upgraded to 6Gb and now I have unlimited internet traffic but still is a Huawei E220 connect to a router for more than 4 pc’s! Recently bought L4D2 on Steam and was a 7.5Gb Download.
my longest was the cinematic trailer from star trek first contact. it was 32MB and tooked me over 3 hours to wait because it was (back in 1997) only a 56k line and there were much traffic on the star trek-site…
of course it was not the biggest and longest dl i’ve downloaded at all, but 2h hours for 32MB size i think is worth to post here 
I just got 2tb of more hdd space so my isp is gonna be like WTF@1.99tb over 60gb monthly limit.
