We’ve all heard of them. What is your favorite conspiracy theory?

I just heard a doozy of one today:

Because British Petroleum says that they’re for “green technologies”, they rigged the platform in the Gulf of Mexico to blow up to highlight just how bad drilling for oil is.

I debated the placement of this topic between here and the Ladies Club. It’s more of a Ladies Club thing at first, but I feel that it could quickly turn into a debate, so I placed it in here for that reason. If a mod feels this thread should go in the Ladies Club instead, I have no problems with it being moved.[/SIZE]

There’s this one about how everything in the universe is the result of some magical sky-man deciding to make everything in 7 days. I forget most of it.

The conspiracy that stuck with me the most is the one where they claim Hitler set up “workcamps” to eradicate “inferior” humans.

Thank god that, all these years later, they found out that those camps were set up in a hurry by the allied forces to make the Germans look bad once the war had ended. I mean it was quite obvious… The camps looked like they were set up in less than an hour’s time, just some shoddy wooden shacks and a bit of wire. If they were real camps, people could just escape by hopping over the fence.

I find it laughable that people think you could have that many government officials involved and not have a single person speak up.

2001 Anthrax attacks were an inside job. It’s my favorite conspiracy theory because even the FBI says the anthrax came from a government research facility.

I’ve found that all the claims made by so-called “truthers” have been thoroughly debunked. However, what I found interesting is that President Bush was told prior to entering the classroom that a plane had hit the WTC and still entered the classroom…then was told a second plane had hit the other tower and…continued with the photo op.

The Kennedy assassination, natch. Also David Icke’s lizard-men and the U.N. New World Order conspiracies.

But in my eye, nothing tops the theories of government collaboration with extraterrestrials. Especially in this documentary.

(The only one I kinda believe is the Kennedy one. The others are just fascinating to me for some reason)

I’d go for 11/9 twin tower attacks. There is so much evidence supporting the notion that the buildings did not fall from the planes hitting them.

Personally I love the 9/11 consparicy theories. It’s just so…illogical that it’s funny.
