Lol ya that was the gayest thing ever, you just walk up to him and win.
That’s what I did as well… and it was an awesome game.
I was also playing Metroid Prime on Dolphin, but the damn thing was crashing pretty often, I got tired of it, even though the game is great.
I’m a huge Super Metroid fan, and I had not played any Metroid Prime game until then. Just starting the game gave me a boner.
I think I liked GlaDOS in Portal relude!
Shinnok from Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub Zero
I never beat him, never even dented his health bar…
I don’t know if you’d count L4D finale events as boss battles, but they’re loads of fun. The bridge on The Parish is pretty epic.
I’d go with Ruby Weapon over Emerald Weapon. Emerald was a large health bar that didn’t really do anything special. Ruby would immediately kill one of your party members and take another out of the battle permanently if you didn’t start it with only one person alive. Emerald’s special attack is completely avoidable and does damage based on the amount of materia you have equipped. Ruby has a lot of devastating attacks that aren’t considered his special.
For someone who doesn’t particularly enjoy boss fights, I sure do like the strategy behind them
Zero Two.
Fuck. Yeah.
my fav boss battles:
- Microcosm (AMIGA CD32) player vs. Grey M (the endboss), because G’M was so perfect designed that you thougt he could be alive!
- Einhänder (PSone) player vs. “monkey bot”, because he moved like he did robodance and i think in reality a human like robot like him in this size would also move like this.
at these two boss battles also the music was great.
Favorite boss battle has to be the one with Cackletta in Mario and Luigi Superstar sage. If you still have a Gameboy or a DS that can play the games, I highly recommend this game. The only reason I like this one though is because I love the music in it. Sure it loops and might get annoying at times, it just seemed so epic when I was playing this game in I think 4th or 5th grade. This also seemed true for many of the other boss fights. A lot of them did have this same song, but there was an occasional boss battle with different music that was just as epic.
If you don’t mind Mario RPGs on the Gameboy, play this game, it is very much worth it.
An awesome boss “battle” was Braid’s “rescue the princess” finale. Getting to the end and then seeing the whole thing play back was mind-bendingly awesome.
^Agreed. Though I really hated the “Epilogue”.
