I had a dream the other night that I was playing through the beginning of Black Mesa for the first time. It was really detailed, actually. It was really awesome until I got to the security guard who lets you into the test chamber - there was a bug, and the game skipped past the entire resonance cascade. I remember getting really pissed off, the game crashing, and then I awoke.
Also, I’m still keeping it warm for you, Ram.

During the many years of development of Black Mesa, I’ve dreamt about playing with it 4 times so far. Is that few, enough, a lot… or just “wrong” ?

Until Black Mesa’s arrival, I think it’s time revisit Half-Life 2 and it’s sequels in this challangeing way. :lambda:

Alredy doing HL2 this way, of course on hard level. After you obtain your crowbar, go and jump down next to trains, and wait. Two metrocops will shoot at you from higher ground, but their accurancy is only as good as the stormtroopers’ in Star Wars IV… so these very first enemies are the perfect way to go down to 1hp, of course a little luck is needed.
Note1: save real often.
Note2: Careful, dead cops may drop medkits.
Note3: Yet, you’d better pick up all the ammo you can get.
And on a side note, you know whats the worst in HL 2 so far? Medkits and armors in vent shafts, and that vortigaunt who wants to give us a jolt - it’s really hard to avoid them. But it is possible. 
Medkits in vent shafts, how can you avoid them at all? :S
In HL2, can’t you just knock them away with your crowbar (or other weapon)?

I agree wholeheartedly. I would feel awkward if i just started rambling about the huge cyst i had on my penis a while back. After all, this thread is about Black Mesa, and not penises.
I used my gun to shoot them hell away… wasted a few clips with it :meh: , and thats the reason I need to take all the ammo.
As I proceed, I am more and more worried. Not about the choppers, or the transhuman forces, no… but about that damn awful dune buggy… so far I’ve no idea how the heck will I get pass that part when I get into it for the first time. (Since that rebel girl drop us down to the antlions, but we alredy do sustain some fall demage.)
Hm, Raminator said that they’ve worked hardly to make sure that there won’t be such a place in Black Mesa, where we’ll have no choice put to get demage from falling or something else.
