I have an XP and W7 computer which are in the same workgroup.
I could shared files and folder from W7 just fine on XP. Then suddenly I couldn’t. Nothing was changed.
Wtf do I do?

Mine does this all the time. Works one day, doesn’t the next.
Check your W7 sharing options, sisable passworded sharing, try change the name of the workgroup, chack your firewall (And the windows firewall. I found the W7 has a secondary firewall of sorts that doesn’t disable when you disable the firewall >_>)
It’s fucking shit isn’t it. It hasn’t been working for a few days now though. The options are all correct, and I disabled the firewall (I only the Windows one). Still no luck. I’ll try changing the workgroup name.
I raged so much a few days ago that I punched my XP monitor. Now there’s a big white line on it.
Yea… can’t help you with that one bro lol.
well done tho burb. a new 23inch led monitor will do nicely.
Your good at creating problems arent you.
meh, the monitor doesn’t really bother me, i barely use it anyway, since that computer is hooked to my TV… i only use the monitor to browse to the movie files, really
the workgroup thingy is still not working though
edit: i just noticed about half the words are missing in my previous posts
Have you tried completely deleting your work group, resetting your network settings, and then trying to set it all up again from scratch?
I’ve tried reapplying the workgroup, which is basically the same thing. I don’t see how I can reset the network settings other than changing them and then changing them back, or something.
