I’d be okay with that. The idea that Valve is actually going to ever make a game again would be exciting on it’s own, even if it had nothing to do with HL. It totally would work as an ARG leading up to a big reveal.
Yep. Valve is extra mysticopathic and cryptic when it comes to releasing info for their own stuff.
I highly doubt that they gave the permission to another dev to spill beans on one of their upcoming games.
That’s what they WANT you to believe!
In the big Xen update page, CC will add a little seemingly unimportant line at the bottom, saying: “HL3 is coming out.”
And I’ll be the first to see it.
It is, in fact, perfectly possible for you to heal yourself by drinking copious amounts of soda ingame. And by consuming the berets of fallen Marines, although that might just be some sort of necromancy thing.
Yeah, if you use a vending machine (or break them, a feature that was in HL1 but didn’t serve to heal you) you still get 1 hitpoint per can as in HL1.
I seem to recall this was not the case at one point in development, (and your wording indicates you were around the forums at that point) but env_beverage is back, baby!
Spoil us with some spoilers before the spoils spoil!
…Spoil doesn’t sound like a word anymore.
Anyway, after rewatching Freeman’s Mind the other day, I’m particularly interested in how the soldier manufacturing plant in Xen is gonna look. I wonder if the Vorts will have fancy assembly line animations and stuff.
Maybe they’ll talk to Gordon more when you get close. I’ve always liked the sound of Vortigese.
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
