Xbox One Discussion Thread

Ye, see?

I don’t even give a shit that the game is many years old now, if a PC port of Halo 3 came out it’d be GOTY for me (especially so if it had mod tools).

Xbox One price cut to match out-performing PlayStation 4 (UK only)

Pretty much. I don’t feel like Halo 2 is even worth making an Anniversary game for either. Halo CE I understood, but I’m not feeling it for Halo 2.

Found this from Facepunch’s Sensationalist Headlines, so I thought I should share this with you guys:

Note: I don’t know if this is a legit or not.

UE4 Samaritan xbone exclusive? yeah right, I’m calling bs on that one… Why would they work so hard on the graphics to be forced to downscale them for the weakest one of the top two consoles?

It took them 4 years to optimize the tech demo from 3xGTX580s to just one GTX 580, at the cost of most of the special effects that made the demo look “special”.

Hold up, lets not forget about DX12 and the cloud or the hidden GPU.

Yeah sounds like bullshit.

If this is anything but a complete joke then I don’t know what to say.

On one hand, they’re returning to their roots as a company that made actual games instead of Kinectware.
On the other hand, I’m not sure I’m too thrilled to hear about a 3rd person Perfect Dark reboot.

All in all it’s nothing I didn’t expect. I’m sure that there’s going to be more announcements.
I can’t wait for the Halo 2 Anniv. announcement, and if they have a Limited edition console bundle I’ll definitely sell my Day One Xbox One for it.

Wait are any of you actually taking this “leak” seriously? It’s a joke. A battletoads reboot (which is touted as 60 frames, as if that was surprising for a 2d game)? A Kinect echo location game? Best looking game of the generation is based off an old tech demo and is on an under-performing console?

I mean the obvious stuff is there, Halo 2 Anniversary, etc. but anybody could guess that, and that still lends no credibility to some no-name blog with no sources cited and a lot of pretty ridiculous claims.

I’m still really confused as to why people in the linked Facepunch thread are taking the post seriously. Is it all just one massive bait thread?

Either that, or it’s Microsoft trying some viral marketing…

That whole list just screams BS to me. A whole lot of stuff we already expect mixed in with a whole lot of stuff some kid reaallly wants.

they did exactly that for grears of war

Holy crap I didn’t even notice Battletoads was in there.

Xbox One without a Kinect coming for $399
edit: Can you believe this shit?

And now we see what they should have released on launch. Think how much different the sales figures would look right now if there was a 400 dollar Xbone at launch.

lol

Microsoft is also removing the requirement to have Xbox Live Gold in order to watch streaming services like Netflix and Hulu Plus, though apparently they’re trading it off by moving other services behind the paywall.
