Xbox 360 Problems

Today, my Xbox 360 has finally packed in after nearly 2 years of faithful service; E74 error. Going to be sending it off to Germany soon for a repair (luckily I’m still in warranty.)

Does anyone here own an Xbox 360 and if so, have you had any problems with it?

I have and EB games just handed me a new one with more hard drive space.

You’re lucky, I wasn’t covered by the retail warranty and I now have to wait for 2-4 weeks to get it back. :frowning:

https://forums.blackmesasource.com/forumdisplay.php?f=10 There’s a forum for this kind of shit.

I wasn’t asking for help on this subject, I was asking the members of the forums if they were having similar problems with their Xbox 360’s.

Hm…

Try 1-(800) 4MY-XBOX to call xbox’s customer support, which is actually pretty darn good.

Well I’m moving it here anyway.

I live in the U.K. so I don’t think that’ll work for me mate, thanks anyway.

Fine, you win. :stuck_out_tongue:

My Xbox 360 got the red ring of death, i put a band-aid on it and it stopped. Also my friend had a wired controller and it kept doing the disconnect message and he’d have to replug it in; so he decided that it thought it was wireless and needed new batteries, he taped batteries to it and it stopped disconnecting.

I have a feeling such events didn’t take place, did they Mr. Ninja man? :freeman:

they did, i am not kidding at all. It’s probably just a coincidence because the batteries fell off the controller and it still worked. But the band-aid idk, i also have a stone roster with a miniature bishop from a mini chess set on top of it that i keep in front of it at all time to ward off evil things. It’s retarded as hell but I haven’t gotten a rrod so i am not about to stop :retard:

Not that I want to burst your bubble but if you have had the RROD before then you WILL get it again. My Xbox was on an elevated surface, was clear from any other sources of heat and was only used in small bursts. Then one day, bam! You’ll be shipping your Xbox off to Germany or Texas or whatever (depends where you live really.)

I’d keep an eye on your Xbox if I were you mate…

I got my Xbox refurbished, so its been retrofitted to prevent RROD (or so they say…) Its loud as hell now, but I aint had a problem yet.

A mate of mine got an error that wasn’t covered by the warranty, so he wrapped it in hot towels until it red ringed. Red ring cover goes to three years or something

Sounds like your Xbox has been replaced with an older one, I’d watch out mate… :stuck_out_tongue:

I had one of the launch consoles at first and it packed in a year or so ago. Can’t remember. Sent it off and got it repaired without any problems.

Ended up trading it in for an Elite but I’m starting to fear for it already. Starting to make some very worrying noises. Doesn’t help that I’m hammering Mass Effect/Bad Company 2/L4D 2…I admit that I haven’t treated this one very well at all.

So yes, no doubt I’ll be updating this in a week or so with “OH GOD OH MAN OH GOD” or something along those lines.

I mean I bought it retrofitted. £100 with new components, money’s tight so I can’t complain

Oh I see! :stuck_out_tongue:

I have another 3 Xbox 360’s but they all have the RROD. :frowning:

me and my friend run a small business repairing 360’s. If your 360 is loud as all hell now chases are that they did a 12v mod to your fans. This forces the fans to run at full speed at all times. It’s kinda excessive, but you cant argue with something that works. I prefer to just ass a second fan, remove the fan grill, and do a foil mod.

My Xbox 360 is still alive, and I’ve had it for about a year or so. It did get the RROD, but I slapped it, and it healed :3

I don’t have an Xbox 360. I own a PC instead :stuck_out_tongue:
