i was thinking about buying a xbox 360 elite seeing as my old xbox arcade just broke.
does anyone else have a elite and if so how reliable are they? Is there a web site that shows some of the tech specs for it and/or the reliability rate on a elite? any suggestions on a site or such would be appreciated^_^.
inb4 pc. I’ll assume you have reasons for wanting a 360 over a gaming PC and say that I haven’t heard anything bad about them, at least nothing worse than the regular 360 stuff.
xbox 360 elites are just the same as other xbox’s only there black and come with a bigger hard drive, i just bought a new xbox 360 arcade, but the only reason why i bought the arcade was becuase i alread had a 120gb hdd and hd compoent cables and such
^this is very true but a gaming pc. however that’s just a wee bit out of my price range. ill have a job soon and that’s when i plan to power up my pc
If you’re worried about RRoD, fear not. Since last year, all new 360’s have a different ‘Jasper’ chip inside them, which is far less prone to overheating.
Otherwise, 360’s in general are sturdy machines. Don’t move them when they’re spinning discs, but hey, that’s obvious. My housemate’s one has been battered to hell and back, and still works perfectly.

^This. Plus the HD cable and a headset. I think there’s like a 3 month xbox live card or something, but I’m not positive. The xbox itself is the same, though.
Yeah., they just get a bigger HDD and a reskin. Also, just a tip, don’t turn your Xbox vertical while a disc is in it, my MW1 disc got mashed up like that.

Depends if you need 120gb, I’ve got the 20gb pro version. But as we’re men, the bigger number is always better

It is plenty for game saves and the odd bit of DLC. If you want to fill it with arcade games, DLC, music, videos, etc etc then plump for something a bit bigger

Otherwise, if you have all of the accessories that you want/need that come with the Elite, go for the Arcade; the games that come with it are shiny… SHINY I TELL YOU!

I thought the Elites got the better chips first and HDMI first… IIRC it got the Falcon etc prior to the the other models making it cooler and quieter… looks good I just cant justify it over my Gaming rig…
