Looney Toons is not a real cartoon. I mean, I said that, and therefore it is not debatable.
Too many adults NOT watching cartoons in this thread :hmph: .
So you full admit you are entertained by things that are designed for children?
I never denied it.
Pro-Tip: Video games are basically toys, especially if your doing it on a console. Toys are mostly designed for children, if your on this forum odds are you are entertained by things that are designed for children.
I’m sure he only plays M rated games because he’s hardcore.
Correct.
Any movie not rated R is for little kids and doesn’t have any appeal whatsoever.
It’s just a medium, really. Cartoons for kids are for kids. Cartoons for adults are for adults. But the Japanese entertainment biz is an odd mix of ratingless media and that media being shown at every store at every corner and in between.
I never understood how something is made implies who it’s made for.
Unless I see PG on the box, I steer clear.

Because people like assuming things.
Halo is gay
Actually, even a lot of kids’ cartoons are also designed for adults, since it’s often assumed the adults will be watching with the kids. Hell, look at Animaniacs, half the humor in that show is completely above a child’s head. Kids aren’t going to get a name-drop of Abbot and Costello, or get why “administering anastasia” for tooth removal makes any sense or is funny when it’s in the context of an evil sorcerer Razputin manipulating the czar. The show even ADMITS the obscurity of that last one for children.
NUH-UH!!!
That’s what’s stupid about most of the “kids” movies made nowadays. They’re all toilet humor and other stupid jokes. Besides Pixar most kids movies made today have nothing for adults that go with their kids.
Toilet humor rules.
Most of Transformers 2 was stupid humor, mostly sex jokes. The sad thing is my family enjoyed the movie.
Edit: And don’t get me started on Marmaduke. I didn’t see the movie but just watching the previews made me want to scratch my eyes out.
The transformers movies were not given even remotely competent writers, all budget went to special effects.

Christopher Walken, set with an Annie Hall reference? Man… that’s just beautiful.
This comes before Algore the donkey (who happens to be full of hot air), and Jagger (J-A-doubleG-E-R) who sings a piece referencing his gigantic lips.
I’m not sure if it counts as anime but the cartoon sequences in Kill Bill were pretty badass. I’d watch a full film sort of explaining the back story behind Kill Bill in that style.
EDIT: I mean the part when she talks about where lucy liu came from
Also A Scanner Darkly was pretty cool too
They were made by Production IG if you want to look up some other stuff they’ve made.
