Would You Play Multiplayer?

It’s possible to play BM DM with bots?

My girlfriend and I have played like, 100 hours of HL2 Deathmatch, so I’m sure she’d want to play it. I loved HL DM, and I’d be all over BM DM.

Yes im gonna play it

I can’t remember the last time I played a deathmatch game. The last multiplayer I partook in was serious Sam coop.

That’s a no brainier!

HLDM is one of the best multiplayer games! I was even hooked on HLDMS, even though it had less than 50 people all together that played it.

Singleplayer all the way

obviously

Never played HL DM actually just HL2 DM. Are there still a fair amount of players on HL DM servers?

Played Half Life for around 10 hours.

Played HLDM for over 200 hours.

Definitely a massive Tau jumping yes.

Will anyone play multiplayer first; the second it’s done installing?
You know, to meet other people and scream, " ITS FINALLY DONE, Gahhhhh!!1 " .

I think most of us should have a team plan. Because if my 5 years is going to come to a climax, I want to remember it as a happy day.

I was/am fucking retarded for HLDM. You’re damn straight I’ll play MP. I’ll play it even if nobody else is on, simply gauss jumping to whatever destinations the undeniable beck of my fancy asks of me. For hours. Days. Weeks. Every time you guys think “oh, I’ll play some multiplayer, I wonder who’s on?” there I’ll be, jumping around in circles. Eyes void. It’s not even fun anymore, but it’s the only thing that keeps my mind from cracking. It hasn’t already cracked has it? No. I’ve waited years to do this. I want to keep it going as long as I can.

Time will pass and soon everyone will forget about BM, but there’ll I’ll be, still logged into that one server that runs Gasworks 24/7, jumping, jumping, jumping… jumping… jumping… jumping.

You won’t hear from me for a while once it comes out, I’ll tell you that. :stuck_out_tongue:

If you put Bounce in the map rotation, I’ll be living in Black Mesa multi-player.

I remember back in the day, my bro had a server and a clan that ran a specific game that we made on there.
It went threw many names, so I’ll just explain it:

There would be 5 marines and 3 security guards versing each other. The guards had to retrieve a scientist like capture the flag. They had to protect and escort him to the other side of the map; just imagine a capture the flag game, but with a scientist. The guards had a one minute headstart, because the marines were not supposed to get the scientist; the only objective for the Marines was to kill the whole other team, and one minute seemed like a long enough time for the guards to get the scientist and begin to work their way back to base. After the scientist was captured, the guards would usually walk to let him keep up.

When the guards capture the scientist a noise would sound and the marines would finally get dropped at a point made knowable – there was a specific spot guards stayed away from because it’s where the marines spawned after their (the guard’s) one minute headstart. The marines had to decide whether to split up and find them, or assume they were somewhere and all go together. The marines got just Mp5s and the guards got glocks, satchels/tripmines, and grenades. It was surpisingly balanced.

Everyone walked in that game to keep quiet and so the scientist npc could keep up.

The game ended up having the guards set a lot of trip mine and satchel traps. Usually, a single guard
would stay behind and let the other two take the scientist. The guard that stayed behind would stay with the traps and satchel charges for an ambush. This usually resulted in the guards winning most of the time. But it was not unbalanced, because some of the time the marines would really just dominate the balls out of the guards.

If the marines kill the scientist, then the only way for the guards to redeem themselves is to get to the point where they captured the scientist or kill all the marines, which was suicide.

We personally knew all the people in our clan, so it usually ended up being a huge LAN party. God, I miss those times.

Good times, but they were short times. :frowning:

How cool!

That actually sounds like a very fun MP mode right there. My clan used to hold pong matches in HL2DM- we’d pick a long square area and use the overwatch rifle to fire the pulse ball, whip out gravity guns and start slinging it back and forth until someone died. It was quite fun, actually.

Haha, that’s really innovative. Damn, these memories are bringing back a life that I have totally forgotten. I really hope the Black Mesa MP gets the same treatment as the original.

The internet was so new and cool back then, that just being with other people was awesome. And people had to think of fun ideas then because of the lack of games online. I’m an atheist, but I hope that after I die that I can relive my life one more time, just for those memories.

of course i’m gonna play it.

first play sp, then mp.
