Wiring Answering Machines

Anynody know how to wire a soundboard or audio clip to use it as an answering machine message? I’ve been trying to use this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ykucr0prMl4) one but can’t seem to figure out how.

It depends on your answering machine! I would say you should take your answering machine apart, find where the microphone is, and wire that to your computer’s audio output. Then just record the message the way you normally would, only start playing audio from your computer. You’ll have to figure out the correct sound levels to get it right. Or if you don’t care about sound quality much, just play it through speakers and record it with the answering machine’s microphone.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
