bitch please
It would be interesting to see some ACTUAL competition going on between Microsoft and Apple’s OS. IMO currently its just Microsoft relying on its already existent market dominance and Apple relying on the “its cool” thing. It’d be nice to see them actually innovating in order to compete.
Apple is relying on iOS devices more than their ‘feline’ OSes right now.
Yes the majority of apples presence is in iOS but I was more talking about desktop / laptop OS, sorry should have clarified. Also I find it funny that apple names their OS’ after cats. Wonder if they’ll ever put out a Jaguar OS :3
Well Microsoft, having already screwed up with windows mobile and zune, now seems to be just desperately trying to catch up with the train. I have seen anything really new about their mobile interface yet.
In a few years, when OSX will be old compared to other OSes, Apple will probably release their Cougar update :3
edit: Making it compatible with newer hardware :3:3
Osx is a much better OS than windows, all windows has over osx is games, if you can’t see this then you are silly.
Eh, its a preference thing.
Lynx will be cooler
HEY-OOOOOOOOOOO
Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaave you met my friend Ubuntu? :3
Ha, a Linux distro is hardly competing with big corps like MS and Apple.
Not economically no, but technologically, big time. I mentioned ubuntu specifically because it´s done by the only linux based company that has a decent ammount of money and is for the end user (unlike, red hat for example which is for servers) Canonycal they where called if I remember correctly.
I was thinking of trying out the Windows 8 dev build but I don’t know if it’s possible to create a partition and then delete it again without formatting the whole disk.
There are a variety of software for resizing / removing and such with partitions.
Recommend me a good one. Freeware if possible.

This is the only one I’ve ever used. I was recommend it by some one a while back and thus didn’t look into any others so I am not sure its the best you can find but it worked fine for me.
Hmm thanks, but in the meanwhile I remembered about Acronis Disk Director which a friend of mine has recommended me many times before, so I “bought” a copy of it and it seems pretty baller.
If you have enough free space and Windows 7 already, you can resize existing partitions in the built-in Disk Management tool
