I currently have Windows 7 build 7057 on my comp and I was wondering if I should get the new RC or just stay with my build. Some preformace comparisons would be helpful if anyone can find one.

The performance is good enough that I can do this:

When I’m playing the individual game the fps is great.
When I took that pic dead space was the main, so hl2 was running in the background.
Also if you look at the corner you can see I have 7077.
Without AA too D:
I can run 4 copies of hl2 on XP at 60fps… Vmware FTW

My PC isn’t awesome by it’s speed, but by it’s price, motherboard=75$ and CPU=85$ graphics card= Free, Ram= Free, HDD= Free, PSU= Free, Case= Free, DVD Burner= Free, OS= Free, etc…
Notice the AA is on along with full detail and shaders.
But surely awesome PCs and big disks go hand-in-hand?

I just sent my laptop to go get fixed. The speakers were shot and the hard drive failed on me, so when I get it back, I’ll have a clean slate to put Windows 7 on to try it out.
Who cares about Anti-Aliasing when you’re playing this:
It’s an old game called “Cultures”.
It runs on Win7 very well, but not as good as it does on 95/98SE or Vista(surprisingly…).
P.S. It’s maxed out in that picture 
Try running it in 95 compatability mode.
What I was asking is whether the windows 7 Release Canidate 64bit(aka build 7100) has a big enough preformance increase gaming wise over build 7057 64bit that its worth doing a clean install of it because the upgrade option doesn’t work. im not concerned about expiration date because build 7057 expires in march 2010 while the RC expires in june 2010 but starting on march it will shutdown your comp every 2 hours.
I have Windows 7 Beta ( Build 7000 ) installed.
Do I have to reconfigurate anything after installing the RC or can I Upgrade?
ugrade doesn’t work for betas.
