Really guys, it looks like your QA team missed that one :slight_smile:
NONE of the installers worked, I got it running after manually compiling files from 5! different archives, including the cracked ones. With the exeption of some missing models, which is easily fixable, it’s seems fine.

I run Windows 7 64-bit and have had no issues at all.

I’m on Win7 X64 here. Had no problems with installer I had downloaded using torrent about 30-40 minutes after the official release. Check your /dev/hands or /head/skills.

I had trouble downloading BMS. I got checksum errors several times and the torrent client downloaded almost 500MB of waste, due to checksum errors, but once the file was completed after a long painful waiting time, the installer worked perfectly on my Win7 64Bit System. Maybe start it in admin mode or from different directory (you know, all those security regulations in Win7 might interfere)?

Windows 7 64-bit, dl’d torrent, took about an hour and a half, installed without a hitch. Probably the first Source mod that did, heh.

No problems installing here, either on my machine or my brother’s. Both are running Windows 7 x64.

Same as the others. Win 7 x64, installs/works flawlessy.

Maybe you downloaded corrupted files every time… glad you managed to work it around, though. :slight_smile:

All you people with CRC check errors have either overclocked too much or have some other stability issue on your PC. I downloaded it as soon as it came out and extracted it fine the 1st time, even though I had 1 bars on WIFI and the download kept stalling due to too many requests.

I downloaded the 3 BM setup files (2 files + MD5 file hash) from Gamefront and had no problems installing on Win 7 64, Game runs great too.

I just used 7zip to get my copy installed. For some reason, the installer didn’t detect the archive that was sitting… right there >.<

Windows 7 64-bit here. No issues downloading or installing.
[COLOR=’#151515’]…unless you count the time I tripped over the power cord to my computer and had to re-plug it back in and turn it back on…which I don’t.

Win 7 64 here. Installed the source 2007 on steam first and then downloaded from shacknews.com I extracted the entire .zip and then ran the setup.exe and everything went smoothly.

I think from the replies in this thread we can safely conclude that you’re doing something wrong. Since you have given almost no details about what options you have chosen during install, what errors the installer gave you, what exactly happened, what you had to do specifically to get it working, I will close this thread since nothing else is here to discuss.

If you want to provide additional information about your system and what happened during the initial install, please open a new thread/bug report.
