Well its the Same Game with Better Graphics, so i dont see it Replacing the Original.

I might play through the original one last time before BMS is released, after that I’ll just play BMS 
Half Life is too big to be “replaced”. I will still play HL1 because my love for that game is unbreakable. I’ve played it exactly 57.5 times (ya, I’m in the middle of it right now). I got it the day it came out and I still play it today. Black Mesa is going to be a great game and all. I’ll get it and play it but it won’t “replace” Half Life.
I’m not sure what to say to that.

I think he means the Games we get today are Trash, but knowing BMS, it will be Better then HL1 with Updated Graphics.
BM has already replaced Half life for me. I bought a computer for halflife, and refuse to play ANY of the half life games until I get a source engine-ified Halflife.

Hmmm… yes. I’ve tried playing through the original game so many times, but never finished. Now, this schmaxxy mod will force to play through all of it :3
Half-Life is a really important game for me. When i’ve played it the first time, i thought: whoa, beeing a physicist and working at a huge science facility would be so awesome (just because the feeling of being a part of the research team).
Today i study physics and i’m nearly done. And yes, Half-Life is one of the reasons that helped me going that way.
Black Mesa(the mod) will be in a special way diffrent from HL. It looks just more real than HL. Rooms look like they have a real purpose, not just another one we just use for something just because we have so much room. Everything is dirtier and … just more real. And thats a huge difference for me.
And thats why it will never replace Half-Life. It’s not the same anymore. It’s not what i remember, when i think of the time i first became interested in physics.
I am a graphics nazi (yeah, i’m form germany, and i shouldn’t use that word), and i will probably never play Half-Life again, just to not harm the image i have from it. However i will play BM (omg everybody should!), and i think it will be a really good game.
But in short: it’s not Half-Life, so it’s not a replacement.
