ofc I will
I’ll just consider it the original HL1 but with enhanced features

Now if I’m going for a complete playthrough of the HL series, like I do a lot, I’ll most likely play BM, but if I’m going for the original, well, I’ll play the original HL.
Strange how that works, Huh?
indeed…
Just like any good song cover, the original will still hold the biggest place in my heart.
Indeed it will.
I agree with that. And still now, HL1 actually beats the hell out of certain games being released these days (CoD 5 anyone?)
hell, i’ve just now chosen to start playing HL: S (yes i know the difference) after my brother gave me his steam account for my late birthday present… BM should be epic by my many weeks of lurking around on this site but it will never replace any of the classic HL games. and about the COD 5… yes HL: S beats the shit out of COD 5
I actually found Unreal easier to continue playing than Half-Life. The same repeating textures of this seemingly endless facility nearly made me vomit.
Black Mesa will replace Half-Life for me. I don’t think I’ll even play Half-Life again.
Also, what does Call of Duty 5 have to do with Black Mesa? I could understand comparing Call of Duty 4 to Black Mesa, but not COD5. You compare good games to promising games, not steaming piles of shit to promising games.
EDIT: Woops, by COD5, I was thinking World at War, not Modern Warfare 2.
I dread to think how you’d cope if you visited Hull. Same repeating concrete textures… :retard:
Yeah, I really shouldn’t complain about the textures. However, textures were really the only thing better in Unreal than in Half-Life.
Regarding Hull, I guess I’m rather spoiled. I live in a beautiful green California suburb.
I’ve been playing HL: S for the first time, just to see some of the differences between the original.
Hopefully BM will be the absolute shit
Your signature is too big.
EDIT: Good, you fixed it.
Seeing as both of my copies of Half life (goldsrc/ source) are "arrrrrr"d, Most of the shit on them don’t work for me anyway.
So yeah, there’s really not much to replace. This is the closest thing to an official copy of HL I’m gonna have.
What? If you register them on Steam you can just download them. The condition of your discs is of no relevance.
If BM turns out to really be as true to HL as it looks like it’s going to be, then yes, I’ll probably fire up BM whenever I get a HL urge.
That depends on what version you’ve got. I’ve got the Half-life Generations pack (HL/Op4/BS) and STEAM doesn’t accept these serials
If you contact Steam support and send them photographs, they should add it to your Steam account. Worked for me.
Um, guys, he meant they’re pirated.
“arrrrrr” = pirate saying…
Um, I hope you don’t mean me, because I bought those games fair and square.
Unless “xalener” is your alternate account, then no.
I’m referring to this post:
Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
