Will Black Mesa replace Half Life 1 for you?

Half-Life will never be replaced by any game ever; that and Homeworld. Some of my first games ever. Half-life got me interested in the things I like today: Post-apocalyptic worlds, armageddon movies, zombie movies, the list goes on. Am I totally excited? Hell freakin’ yes, but it’s only because I’ll be playing BMS as if I was playing HL1. Hard to explain lol

It won’t replace Half-Life. Because many of the things in the modification I don’t even consider to be close enough to the original.

I don’t really think that Black Mesa will replace Half-Life for me, because while Black Mesa is a remake of Half-Life, It’ll never be the same as the original, and for that I’ll keep playing the original as well.

Depending on how well the story is remade, yes. Just for the sake of better graphics, also yes.

Maybe.
For 100 %, if I can see Magnusson raping the Microwave.

Don’t throw away your HL disk the BM DEV’s all started families, now they all just hang out at Chuck E Cheez all day.

BLASPHEMY!!! :rage:

[COLOR=‘Red’]Obligatory 300 meme goes here -----> ___________

What would you have asked for at Xiosimass?

Like everyone else, maxed Brown Way. Duh.

What will you ask for at Xiosimass?

I’d like my character’s finger back, I can’t handle a dagger like I used to.

The ask for Q’ doesn’t mean there will be one

Wat

It’s not going to replace it, But it’s going to be something else.

What

Never. Nice try though.

(1st post!)

As they say…You can’t beat the classics!

it definately will for me :stuck_out_tongue:

one day, in the very distant future when it may get released, it will.

I am a Graphics Whore so hell yeah!

I haven’t played Half-Life 1 since I was in high school, so I’m gonna say yeah.

Depends. If it’s the same thing in the trailers then yes.

It will most likely replace it for me, while the original is great, everything but the graphics should be mostly the same, so there will not be too much of a pull for me to play it the original way again. That is not to say I will not play the original again however, as it is always nice to see what the developer intended.

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
