I think I’ll play both at the same time 
. I like doing this thing with remakes. BM on my PC and HL1 on my Laptop (almost wrote Lactoc, this is how old people call it in Romania, and a joke for everybody else).

Half-Life hasn’t been engraved into my mind as something precious (since I got introduced to it relatively recently and am appalled by how they allowed multiple brushes to clip together and create ugly texture glitches :meh

I doubt it will. If Half-Life can’t even run out of Software mode on my laptop, I don’t think Black Mesa will run any better.
What kind of a laptop can’t run HL1 in software mode ??? Is it some laptop prototype from the eighties?

just kidding. Why are there so many idiots to think the Halo series is the best thing to hit Gaming since Doom. Seriously, the entire series is shit, and so is the console its being played on.
And I can say that from a completely unbiased, objective standpoint because it is fact.
In fact, there has been barely anything released in the last 2 years worth buying, which is why the only game I have bothered to buy in that time is l4d.

Halo is okay… it’s not terrible but not as amazing as a lot of people put it.
Well when I show Half-Life to my kids (some time in the future) I will probably show them this. As long as they include the parental controls the original had

I grew up with half-life and its a very great game.
I find it hard replacing the game, but I will definitely play it through some times.
To be honest, I see this like an addition to the whole half-life serie, a new game for it self. That I will play along the other ones. Ran through the whole serie like 10times, and half-life 1 many more.
I’ve been speed running half-life many times, and I find it very entertaining to explore and find new ways to get pass the creatures and the game as fast as possible. (Even if Im not at all close to, as skilled as the ones in the official speed run movies)
if the DM side of BM is as good as HL1 i will be stoked, i played HLDM on and off for about 7 years before finally getting around to single player
