Look everyone of us that played Half-Life especialy those that played it way back in the ninetees … will always consider the old Half-Life like best of the best … for some BM will replace HL … but for me HL rulezz for ever … even with the low graphics and no physics … etc
Seeing as I’ve been playing HL periodically on my PS2 for… years now, it might. The ability to play it on my PC would be pretty damn cool, assuming I can get my source games to work again.
It probably would. Even though I love half life 1, and I probably will not be able to run bms that well, I think the upped graphics and the upped physics will make for a much more enjoyable playtime.

I think Black Mesa will replace Half-Life for me, but only in the singleplayer part, i can’t imagine that Black Mesa Deathmatch will be more awesome than the original Deathmatch. I wonder if I will play thorugh Black Mesa more often than Half-Life. I even don’t know how often I played through Half-Life.

Indeed, but you can already judge from the released media stuff.
My opinoin is, that it will probably replace HL1 for me, because it is an enhanced version of the entire game in every aspect. And this means: More fun. 
Yea, Of Course it will change replace half life 1, its like the new thing when it comes out (probably) people are going to start playing more black mesa source than Half Life 1 and 2 maybe!

No, I dont think so… It’s gonna be like CS 1.6 and CSS… I still play 1.6 and not source, but i don’t think its bad. Someone other might think that CSS is better, so you can’t really say that BM is replacing the original HL1… (my opinion^^)

FF is free, and so will BM
if BM will be so loyal to HL1 as FF was a perfect remake of TFC, then this game will win various awards like it awready has.
im a long time pleyer of TFC and the moment that i launched FF, i never playied TFC again, and, that probalby will happen with hl1 as well :’(
unlike css and 1.6, their both by valve. only 1.5 is by the actuall creators. 1.6 is just a adaptation version to fit better.
Ok… You’re right about that, but i just taught about how it looks like (quake engine <-> source engine) and about the gameplay… I can’t play that good in source like in 1.6… Its because of the way you move and aim…
