I’m not familiar with the steam mechanics… so censored or not depends on what they put in THEIR db? So it means your game still has both censored / uncensored files already? They just need to be unlocked or something?

yes, exactly.
there is one single difference between uncut and cut version of a game,
cut games have the lv/low violence gcf file, which contains all cuts.

installed my austrian L4D today and it was uncut, without contacting valve. :slight_smile:

I’d actually enjoy having the gear gibs model, but only as a separate model, So I could use it in mods. :stuck_out_tongue:

Yeah, but that just removes the gibs and makes gibbed NPCs fade out. (Fun with the gluon gun, it “Captures” Them inside :3)
It didn’t make the robogrunts available, because WON HL doesn’t have them in the ‘Pak’ file.

I also buy games from austrian websites. It is more expensive than the german version because of shipping costs, but it’s the only way to get the games how they are meant to be.
