What?? Pretty much everything in the original post was new I think. Certainly the games list which I think is pretty solid for being a year out on production.

PSP 2 might work in tandem with the PS3, doing pretty much the same thing as the Wii U, and a year before.

The wii u should be just a new controller to the wii. I mean it is just like a wii just… “wiiier” and with old school Nintendo technology with some aspects seen in the DS.

It is basically a DS and a wii remote stuffed in a PSP at the size of an iPad.

Well I mean supposedly the console is more powerful than the PS3 which I think is worth a new console. Plus they’re going to have better third party support. I just think it’s a terrible time to come out with a new console.

I played a 3DS one time, and I loved it. If I had the money to blow I’d totally buy one, sadly I’m rather poor at the moment. Nintendo’s stuff doesn’t seem to appeal much to the (ugh) “hardcore gamers”, but damn if their stuff isn’t fun.

I believe the specs that are around state that its more powerful than the PS3. Its at least on par, which is the important thing; cross-platform games now will no longer skip the Wii. Shame about the lack of upscaling though; re-releases ahoy!

Also, this sums up my feelings on the matter perfectly.

The console is fairly interesting looking. Hopefully they get the one controller limit thing worked out. I’ll wait a bit before I get this one though.

Also, shame about you all not playing 3DS. Its a damn fun portable.

If Nintendo release a new high power console six years after the Wii that can genuinely rival the PS3 and 360 on power- the rumour says it can beat them, but we’ll see- and at a reasonable price, I do think it makes the ten year plans of those consoles look silly. The Wii already made more than both of them probably ever will; if Nintendo can steal a march on them twice it is just nuts.
