Why does everyone call Gordon Freeman "Mr. Freeman"?

Um, despite what a lot of people seem to think, the day of the Cascade is NOT Gordon’s first day at work, and I suspect when you work in an underground lab you very quickly get to know everyone. Besides, he’s in a lab coat and a lot of people just assume.

I thought it was because he studied MIT…or something like that …

So every citizen in the HL universe knew Gordon was a doctor because all of (either) them went to MIT and/or worked at Black Mesa.

He may well have had a name badge at Black Mesa.

…but not in HL2.

Well as most people in HL2 seem to know Gordon by reputation, I just assumed they’d been told by someone else.

Dr. Froeman?

Gordan Froeman?

gagag

Gordon Frohman?

Simple. Varying writers writing for different characters at various times.

Ignore my post, didnt notice someone said the same thing before me

“They’re waiting for you Gordon, in the test chamber…” Any of that sounds familiar??? :freeman:

Is the term “necropost” familiar to you? Does it make any sense for you?

Ha, drasarsalman trying to be funny. how cute…

Gordon is the gay.

gordon is THE GAME

Do his parents know that he’s gay?

Who are Gordon’s parents?

3 weeks hardly constitutes a necropost.

On Topic: No body calls anyone the exact same thing all the time. At work we call my boss “Powel” or “Ms. Powell” but when we all go out for drinks it’s just “Courtney”. And then ofcorse there’s nicknames. Sometimes we call her “CoPo”

In Gordan’s case the writer was trying to fit the mood the NPC is supposed to be feeling toward Gordan. Is the NPC looking down on Gordan (G-Man, like God looking down on mortals, and has Gordan yet proved himself to be an equal to the g-man), or is it just a friendly conversation versus work-related? (beers later versus get in the test chamber NOW!!!)

Founded in 2004, Leakfree.org became one of the first online communities dedicated to Valve’s Source engine development. It is more famously known for the formation of Black Mesa: Source under the 'Leakfree Modification Team' handle in September 2004.
